This research aims to describe and explain the readability and feasibility of the text in the textbook of Indonesian subject for class X of senior high school in standard based curriculum (SBC) and curriculum 2013. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using fog index as a formulation to calculate the readability aspect. The data of this research are taken from Indonesian subject in standard based curriculum and 2013 curriculum. The data collection technique is taken using documentation. The research data validity is measured using source triangulation .The data were analyzed using interactive data analysis model. The results of the research are (1) the readability of the text books of Indonesian subject for class X of senior high school in standard based curriculum (SBC) is categorized as the readability that easy to understand (2) the readability of the text books of Indonesian subject for class X of senior high school in curriculum 2013 is categorized as the readability that easy to understand; (3) The differences appear not in term of readability. Instead, they are on  the number and types of the texts that are used;(4) the textbook of Indonesian subject for class X in senior high school in standard based curriculum (SBC) is feasible, because it contains various types of text, meaning that it concerns with science and knowledge gained by reader.

Speaking skills are the ability of someone to say articulation sounds or words that have meaning to convey ideas, thoughts and ideas. The research objectives are (1) knowing student responses to Scrapbook media in thematic learning; (2) find the effect of Scrapbook media on student speaking skills. The research approach is quantitative with experimental type. The design of this study is non-equivalent control group design with population of all students grade V MI Nasyrul Ulum Bocek Malang and the number of students in the sample of each class (control and experiment class) is 30. The research instrument used questionnaire and observation sheet. The data obtained were analyzed by Independent Sample t-test. From the results responses showed there were 76% good and correct speaking skills. From the t-test results of speaking skills with the Equeval variance not assumed is 3.980 with a probability of 0.00 and the probability value 0.00 <0.05 then H 0 is rejected and H 1 is accepted. Based on the results of the calculation, there is a significant increase in the experimental class from pre-test value 26.66% increased to 76.66% in the post-test value. For the control class, pre-test value 20% becomes 30% in the post-test value. In conclusion, Scrapbook media has a significant effect on student speaking skills.

The Effect of Scrapbook Media on Students’ Skills Speaking /Pengaruh Media Scrapbook terhadap Keterampilan Berbicara Siswa

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of social media use on the intensity of reading fifth grade elementary school students. This research was conducted in Public Elementary Schools in Ciledug Sub district. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. The results showed that 1) the reading intensity of grade V elementary school students is still high, this can be seen from the results of the questionnaire analysis which shows that fifth grade elementary school students are still routinely reading even though he uses social media. 2) There is an influence on the use of social media on the intensity of reading Elementary School class V students. This can be seen based on a simple correlation analysis. The r value states that the number of numbers between 0,00 0,199 has a "very low" level of influence because the product correlation the moment above amounted to 0.089. Based on the coefficient of determination variable X (use of social media) contributes to the variable Y (reading intensity of grade V elementary school students) of 0.8% while the remaining 99.2% is influenced by other variables outside the research.

The Effect of Social Media on Reading Intensity of Fifth Grade Elementary School Students

Pengabdian ini diadakan dengan tujuan untuk mengajarkan bahasa Inggris speaking kepada guru-guru SMA Sint Louis Semarang. Pengabdian ini berbentuk pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk membekali para guru di SMA Sint Louis Semarang agar dapat memiliki keterampilan berbicara, berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris dengan baik dan benar, dan pelatihan ini diperuntukkan bagi seluruh guru, baik guru bahasa Inggris maupun guru bidang studi lain. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). Metode tersebut mendorong para peserta pelatihan untuk lebih mengembangkan kemampuan dirinya, memahami tentang bahasa Inggris dan cara berkomunikasi, sehingga pada individu terjadi perubahan sikap dan memiliki kecakapan dalam berbicara bahasa Inggris. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini yaitu teknik deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel berjumlah 25 orang peserta, berasal dari latar belakang bidang ilmu yang berbeda. Pelatihan dilakukan selama 10 kali dengan durasi waktu selama 90 menit setiap sesinya. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam berkomunikasi menggunakan Bahasa Inggris. Peserta mampu menuangkan idenya dan mengungkapkannya dalam percakapan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis secara deskriptif juga diperoleh adanya peningkatan minat dan motivasi peserta. Peserta sudah mulai memiliki rasa percaya diri saat melakukan percakapan (conversation) dengan teman ataupun dengan tim abdimas.

Penggunaan metode communicative language teaching pada pelatihan keterampilan berbicara guru sma sint louis semarang

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan bahasa pada Jurnal Imageri Pendidikan Sastra dan Bahasa Indonesia Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga artikel ilmiah sebagai sumber data yang dimuat dalam Jurnal Imajeri. Data kesalahan Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia dalam penelitian terdiri dari kesalahan penggunaan huruf, tanda baca, penulisan kata, dan kesalahan penulisan kata pinjaman yang terdapat pada artikel ilmiah. Artikel ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa teknik baca-catat untuk setiap kesalahan yang ditemukan. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan ditemukan sebanyak 29 kesalahan ejaan yang terdiri dari 12 kesalahan data penggunaan huruf, 9 kesalahan tanda baca, 8 kesalahan penulisan kata, dan kesalahan penulisan kata kunci tidak ditemukan. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa artikel jurnal ilmiah bidang bahasa dan sastra Indonesia pun tidak lepas dari kesalahan ejaan. Oleh karena itu, penguasaan aturan ejaan dalam bahasa Indonesia tetap perlu ditingkatkan.
