Relationship between the inflammation/immune indexes and deep venous thrombosis (DVT) incidence rate following tibial plateau fractures.
TL;DR: Four factors were identified to be significantly associated with DVT, including open fracture, increased D-dimer level, immune-inflammation index, platelet and neutrophil, and the significance remained after exclusion of open fracture.

TL;DR: The prediction of preoperative DVTs can significantly be improved by identifying older patients over the age of 65, and establishing the biochemical cut-off values of CRP, PLT, ASA, and D-dimer.

Incidence and risk factor for preoperative deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in isolated calcaneal fracture, a prospective cohort study.
TL;DR: Due to low prevalence of DVT in isolated fracture, routine throboprophylaxis is not recommended, however, emphasis should be given in older patients with delay to admission and elevated plasma D-dimer level for targeted detection of DVTs and rapid therapeutic intervention.
