Journal ArticleDOI

Methotrexate toxicity: correlation with duration of administration, plasma levels, dose and excretion pattern.

TL;DR: It was shown that if certain precautions were rigorously observed then methotrexate toxicity could nearly always be avoided, much larger doses than those usually employed could be given, and metotrexate resistance could occasionally be overcome.
Journal ArticleDOI

The value of adriamycin in overcoming resistance to methotrexate in tissue culture.

TL;DR: It is suggested that adriamycin may be a useful agent for treating neoplasms resistant to MTX or for use in combination with MTX against mixed tumour cell populations.
Journal ArticleDOI

The difference between "selective folinic acid protection" and "folinic acid rescue" in L5178Y cells culture.

TL;DR: Findings suggest that in treating neoplasms likely to be resistant to MTX selective folinic acid protection should be used, both with DDMP and/or MTX (i.e. CF should be given simultaneously with either or both drugs).
Journal ArticleDOI

Superiority of Adriamycin-14-octanoate Over Adriamycin in Reducing Viability of Methotrexate-Resistant L5178Y Cells: Brief Communication

TL;DR: Experimental studies suggested that ADR-OCT may be a valuable agent for treating neoplasms resistant to MTX and effective inhibitors of the exogenous Escherichia coli DNA-dependent RNA polymerases in vitro and of the endogenous polymerase in mammalian cultured cells.
