The reduction of complex transfer function models to simple models using the method of moments
L.G. Gibilaro,F.P. Lees +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, simple transfer function models of chemical plant can be reduced to simple models using the method of moments, and three parameters of the simple model are obtained by matching the first three moments of the impulse response of the complex and simple models.
Journal ArticleDOI
Solution of a mixing model due to van de Vusse by a simple probability method
TL;DR: In this paper, a revised version of a multiloop circulation model first proposed by van de Vusse was shown to fit experimental residence time distribution data obtained for a 100 l. stirred vessel.
Journal ArticleDOI
The recycle flow-mixing model
TL;DR: In this article, a transfer function characterising flow-mixing in recycle systems is presented in a way that generalises many published forms; the second central moment and impulse response of the general expression are derived.
Journal ArticleDOI
The analytical solution of the Deans-Levich model for dispersion in porous media
B.A. Buffham,L.G. Gibilaro +1 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Network combing of complex flow-mixing models
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose to treat the process in matrix terms and remove the need for the nodes to have identical characteristics. But they do not address the problem of uniform linear dynamic mixing at the nodes.
