Applications of Natural Fibers and Its Composites: An Overview
TL;DR: In this article, the potential use of natural fibers and its composite materials, mechanical and physical properties and some of their applications in engineering sectors is discussed. But, the authors do not provide details about the potential applications of natural fiber reinforced polymer composites.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Development on graphene based polymer composite materials and their applications—A recent review
TL;DR: In this paper, a recent review is carried on Graphene based polymer composites and their applications, and different properties such as mechanical, thermal, electrical and medical properties of graphene-based polymeric composites are discussed.
Experimental Investigation on Mechanical Properties of Hemp/E-Glass Fabric Reinforced Polyester Hybrid Composites
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the mechanical properties of six different kinds of hemp/glass fabrics reinforced polyester composite laminates as per layering sequences and found that an addition of E-glass fabrics with hemp fabrics can increase the tensile, flexural, impact and water absorption tests of these hybrid composites according to ASTM standards.
Journal ArticleDOI
Design and Fabrication of Ginger Harvesting Machine
TL;DR: Agarwal et al. as mentioned in this paper have designed and fabricated a ginger harvesting machine with three main parts namely, ginger digger, screener and power transmission system, which can be used in any farming condition in India and can be prepared at village level.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mode I Fracture Characterization of Banana Fibre Reinforced Polymer Composite
TL;DR: In this paper, fracture behavior and mechanical properties of short banana fiber reinforced polymer composites are investigated and the effect of weight fraction of fiber on the fracture toughness of the composite is examined.
