Traditionally, the reading techniques of the consumption of water, electricity or gas are made manually and suppose the passage of an agent in every home. In these conditions, a regular individual meter reading is necessary for a rigorous follow-up of energy consumption and it proves to be coercive and expensive to energy suppliers. On their part, consumers, still worried of better services quality, oblige energy dispensers to choose intelligent and adaptable meters and indispensable communication systems in order to measure and to specify the consumption analysis. The objective of this article is to analyse the technology of the energy meters reading. This is why a practical application has been achieved for the reading of the energy meters consumption. This application is going to allow energy dispensers to improve the clientele service while providing a precise and a real time invoicing. Indeed, the Tunisian society SIAME was created in 1976 with the vocation the electric material manufacture. Currently, it manufactures all one range of products with a rate of integration varying between 60 and 90%. This society manufactures and merchandise meters of modular electric energy, some modular cutouts domesticate, accessories of line for the aerial cables, modular electric branching caskets, of birettas of connection, junction blocks… It subcontracts the injection of pieces in plastic and makes the installation for international societies. The SIAME society entered into a total quality gait. Its quality management system is certified ISO 9001, version 2000 (5) . The objective of this article consists in the analysis of the technology of the energy meter consumption while reading the meters index of electric energy and gas, the recuperation and the raised data management. This paper can be loosely divided into four parts. First, we present the technology of the energy meters. Second, we present the application proposed for the automatic reading of the energy meters consumption. Third, we present the realization of the application while giving organization basis charts as well as structures of data and interfacings used. The article ends with presenting likely our contribution in the energy meters reading.

Analysis of the Technology of the Energy Meters Reading

The paper deals with a marketing dispute for the future sale of electric energy among companies that generate energy and a company that distributes energy in the new private sector of Brazilian electric power system. Privatization of this sector in Brazil is based on the principle of implementation of competition wherever is possible, and regulation whenever necessary. The price and availability of energy to be offered are considered as a criteria or attributes for the analysis and selection. The ELECTRE I and II methods were used. These are methods of the multicriteria decision-aid field based on the dominance relation. Results of both methods were similar: they favored the companies with lowest prices but with reasonable availability indexes. The decision model formulation is presented, including the preferred modeling of the decision maker. The case study analyzed includes numerical results with recommendations and a sensitivity analysis of the model. This case study is based on a real context of a power electric company.
