Contour coding of images
TL;DR: This paper describes a coding strategy which stores digital images in terms of their contours, and the problems of non closing contours are addressed along with interpolation methods to produce a reconstructed image from a contoured image.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Estimating chemical concentrations from compressed hyperspectral images
Eric Robert Kehoe,Michael Kirby,Chris Peterson,L. Scharf,Julia R. Dupuis,John P. Dixon,M. Anguita,Stephanie M. Craig +7 more
TL;DR: Two algorithms for estimating concentrations of a known chemical compound from compressed measurements of a hyperspectral image (HSI) are derived and it is demonstrated that detection performance is maintained when resolving concentration maps at a lower resolution, so long as the resolution is not too low.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Compressive sensing hyperspectral imager in the LWIR for chemical plume detection
Stephanie M. Craig,Julia R. Dupuis,John P. Dixon,M. Anguita,David J. Mansur,S. Buchanan,Eric Robert Kehoe,Christopher Peterson,L. Scharf,Michael J. Kirby +9 more
TL;DR: An environmentally hardened compressive sensing hyperspectral imager (CS-HSI) operating in the long wave infrared (LWIR) has been developed for low-cost, standoff, wide area early warning of chemical vapor plumes as discussed by the authors .
