Validation of a vertical train–track–bridge dynamic interaction model based on limited experimental data

TL;DR: The calibration and validation of a numerical model of a steel-concrete composite railway bridge considering the vehicle–track–structure interaction and a good agreement was achieved between experimental and numerical records regarding the displacements at the supports and deck, and the accelerations at the deck.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamic Response of a Railway Bridge to Heavy Axle-Load Trains Considering Vehicle–Bridge Interaction

TL;DR: In this paper, the resonance phenomena originated by periodic loading associated with the passage of regularly spaced trains was investigated on railway bridges, and it was shown that railway bridges can be particularly sensitive to dynamic effects induced by trains owing to the resonance phenomenon.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of Modal Parameters in a Scale Model for a Railway Bridge

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented an experimental and numerical study for finding the modal parameters of an aluminum model built to scale of a real railway bridge, which was used for damage detection.
