Novel secured scheme for blind audio/speech norm-space watermarking by Arnold algorithm

A scheme jointly exploring the rational dither modulation (RDM) and auditory masking properties in the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) domain is proposed to achieve effective blind audio watermarking. The embedding of binary information is carried out by modulating coefficient vectors in the 5th-level approximation subband using the quantization steps estimated from past watermarked vectors. The robustness and payload capacity of the proposed scheme are maneuverable by varying vector dimensions, while the imperceptibility is ensured by constraining quantization noise below the auditory masking threshold. Furthermore, the periodic characteristic inherited in the RDM formulation can be used to re-establish synchronization for accurate watermark extraction. Experimental results show that the proposed DWT---RDM approach renders a near-zero objective difference grade in the perceptual evaluation of audio quality even when the signal-to-noise ratio maintains at a level near 20 dB. In most digital signal processing attacks, the bit error rates of retrieved watermarks are sufficiently low as compared to other recently developed methods with fewer payload capacities.

A DWT-Based Rational Dither Modulation Scheme for Effective Blind Audio Watermarking

In order to improve the data hiding in all types of multimedia data formats such as image and audio and to make hidden message imperceptible, a novel method for steganography is introduced in this paper. It is based on Least Significant Bit (LSB) manipulation and inclusion of redundant noise as secret key in the message. This method is applied to data hiding in images. For data hiding in audio, Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) both are used. All the results displayed prove to be time-efficient and effective. Also the algorithm is tested for various numbers of bits. For those values of bits, Mean Square Error (MSE) and Peak-Signal-to-Noise-Ratio (PSNR) are calculated and plotted. Experimental results show that the stego-image is visually indistinguishable from the original cover-image when n<=4, because of better PSNR which is achieved by this technique. The final results obtained after steganography process does not reveal presence of any hidden message, thus qualifying the criteria of imperceptible message.

An Efficient Method for Image and Audio Steganography using Least Significant Bit (LSB) Substitution

This study proposed a new approach of copyright protection for vector map using robust watermarking on FFT algorithm. A copyright marker inserted in vector map as the watermark. In addition to data origin authentication capabilities watermark, RSA cryptographic algorithm is used when generating the watermark. Quality measurement of the results was based on the three characteristics of digital watermarking: (1) invisibility using RMSE calculations, (2) fidelity with the farthest distance and (3) NC calculation and gemotrical level of robustness against attacks. Result of experiments showed that the approach used in this study succeeded in inserting copyright as watermark on vector maps. Invisibility test showed good results, demonstrated by RMSE close to zero. Fidelity of the watermarked map was also maintained. Level of watermark robustness against geometric attacks on vector map results has been maintained within the limits that these attacks do not affect the watermark bit value directly.

A New Copyright Protection for Vector Map using FFT-based Watermarking

Many effective watermarking algorithms have been proposed and implemented for digital images and digital video, however, few algorithms have been proposed for audio watermarking. This is due to the fact that, the human audio system is far more complex and sensitive than the human visual system. In this paper, we describe an imperceptible and robust audio watermarking algorithm based on the discrete wavelet transform. Performance of the algorithm has been evaluated extensively, and simulation results are presented to demonstrate the imperceptibility and robustness of the proposed algorithm.

This is due to the fact that the human audio system (HAS) is far more complex and sensitive than the human visual system (HVS). In this paper, we describe an imperceptible and robust audio watermarking algorithm based on the discrete wavelet transform (DWT). Performance of the algorithm has been evaluated extensively, and simulation results demonstrate the imperceptibility (inaudibility) and robustness of the proposed algorithm.
