The reflection theorem: A study in meta-theoretic reasoning
TL;DR: In this paper, the reflection theorem has been proved using Isabelle/ZF, and its proof requires reasoning at the meta-level, and a particularly elegant proof that reduces the metalevel reasoning to a single induction over formulas.
Old Introduction to Isabelle
TL;DR: This paper describes the oldstyle theory syntax and shows how to conduct proofs using the ML top level using the Isar language and the Proof General interface, and contains valuable information that is not available elsewhere.
