An aquatic exercise device ( 100 ) includes a cuff strap ( 102 ) for fastening a plurality of fins ( 106 ) to a user's leg. The cuff strap ( 102 ) is configured to position the plurality of fins ( 102 ) to extend outwardly form an interior of the cuff strap ( 102 ) when the cuff strap ( 102 ) is fastened to an ankle area of the user's leg. The plurality of fins ( 106 ) provide resistance in a direction opposite to the direction of motion of the user's foot when the aquatic exercise device ( 100 ) is moved through water.

The invention relates to an exercise device for use by a user on a selected surface material comprising a grasping member having a first end and a second end, a first tool head mounted to the first end of the grasping member and a second tool head mounted to the second end of the grasping member. Each of the first tool head and the second tool head has sufficient structural rigidity to be interacted with the surface material without significant deformation whereby a user can perform exercises upon the selected surface material by physically interacting the first tool head and second tool head with the surface material.

An improved paddle apparatus for kayaks, canoes, or like water craft having a plurality of hand grips mounted to allow dynamic rotation relative to the paddle shaft to allow the wrist to remain in a natural position while paddling and still allow full power to be transferred from the blade into the water. Also a means of paddling whereby the operator can paddle with greater power and control on either side of the watercraft without breaking either handgrip. A further improvement includes using the handgrip in the position perpendicular to the paddle shaft to determine the blade position by feel and steer with greater torque. An alternative embodiment includes rotation of the grip itself, further reducing the twisting of the wrists and other joints.

A paddle includes a paddle shaft having a longitudinal axis and first and second ends. A first paddle blade is coupled with the first end and includes front and back faces. A second paddle blade is coupled with the second end and also includes front and back faces. A first grip is coupled to the second paddle blade front face remote from the paddle shaft second end while a reinforcing spine is provided to the second paddle blade back face. A method is also disclosed.

Paddle for water sports

An improved kayak paddle for recreational or competitive paddling, which has handles affixed perpendicular to the shaft or shafts, which handles rotate on axles as the paddle is used, to reduce twisting of the wrists and other joints of the paddler and improve efficiency and comfort. The shape of the paddle blades is such that water falls off the corner of the blades and does not run down the shaft to wet the hands of the paddler.
