A camera and method which selectively applies image content adjustments to elements contained in the image material. By way of example, the method involves registration of user touch screen input and determination of the arbitrary extent of a specific element in the captured image material at the location at which touch input was registered. Once selected, the element can be highlighted on the display, and additional user input may be optionally input to control what type of adjustment is to be applied. Then the element within the captured image material is processed to apply automatic, or user-selected, adjustments to the content of said element in relation to the remainder of the captured image. The adjustments to the image element may comprise any conventional forms of image editing, such as saturation, white balance, exposure, sizing, noise reduction, sharpening, blurring, deleting and so forth.

Geo-referenced and/or time-referenced electronic drawings may be generated based on electronic vehicle information to facilitate documentation of a vehicle-related event. One or more electronic drawings may be generated to document and/or report an event, in which various elements of the drawing(s) include geographic reference information. A symbols library, a collection of images (e.g., geo-referenced images), geo-location data, and time and location data may be stored in memory for use in connection with such drawings, and a drawing tool graphical user interface (GUI) may be provided for electronically marking-up images on which one or more drawings are based. The device may also have pre-programmed objects including objects that the device detects. In addition, the device may detect people using the users' social networks by retrieving images from social networks like Facebook® and LinkedIn®.

The digital camera includes a computer program that, when executed by a controller of the digital camera, implements processing a set of captured images to produce the desired image within the digital camera. The method includes processing a set of captured images to produce the desired image with the digital camera. Processing the set includes one or both of image object removal from and addition to an image scene.

A digital camera captures and stores images, and processes them to provide a desired image comprising selected portions of the images. In one embodiment, an unwanted object 121 such as a person appearing in a view 122 is removed, 125, and replaced by the background scene 123 cut from another view 124 of the same scene so as to provide the desired view 126. Alternatively (Fig 3), a defective view such as one where the subject has 'shut eyes', can be improved by replacing the eyes with those from another image in the sequence. In a further alternative (Fig 5) an object omitted from the desired view may be added from another view in which it appears. A further defect which can be corrected is glare. The object or defect to be replaced or removed may be identified using a window, using edge detection or similar techniques.
