Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of carbon dioxide enrichment on chlorophyll content, starch content and starch grain structure in Trifolium subterraneum leaves

TL;DR: Results indicate the chlorotic appearance of leaves from high CO2 grown clover plants is due to a decrease in chlorophyll content per dry weight possibly resulting from large starch grains and starch accumulation altering normal chloroplast structure and function.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of CO2 enrichment and water stress on gas exchange of Liquidambar styraciflua and Pinus taeda seedlings grown under different irradiance levels

TL;DR: The results suggest that with the future increase in atmospheric CO2 concentration, sweetgum seedlings should “tolerate” longer exposure to low soil moisture, resulting in greater first year survival of seedlings on drier sites of abandoned fields in the North Carolina piedmont.
