Various problems faced by the elderly include incontinence being the main complaint of the elderly. Urinary incontinence is the discharge of urine that is not digested by the elderly. Urinary incontinence will cause complications that can cause the elderly due to infection. One way to overcome all of this can be by doing Kegel exercises. The study used a pre-experimental design in the form of one group pretest-posttest without control. The results of the study describe the characteristics of age, gender, influencing the occurrence of urine iconentis in the elderly. The results of this study can be used as a reference in overcoming the problems of the elderly with urinary incontinence in the elderly. In addition, it is necessary to do it regularly in the elderly who experience urinary icontinasia.

The Effect of Kegel Exercise on Elderly With Urine Incontinence

Inkontinensia urin didefinisikan sebagai keluarnya urin yang mana keadaan ini dapat
mengakibatkan masalah medis, psikososial, maupun higiene bagi penderitanya.
Inkontinensia urin lebih sering dijumpai pada usia lanjut. Wanita dengan usia >50
tahun paling mungkin mengalami kelainan ini. Dampak medis, psikososial, dan
ekonomi terlihat nyata pada mereka yang menderita Inkontinensia urin. Dampak
sosial dari Inkontinensia urin meliputi hilangnya kepercayaan diri, menghindar dari
pergaulan sosial dan depresi. Dalam beberapa kasus, implikasi yang muncul
tergantung pada perawatan medis yang dijalani. Depresi merupakan masalah
psikososial yang sering ditemukan pada wanita usia lanjut dengan Inkontinensia urin.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai apakah ada hubungan antara
Inkontinensia urin dengan derajat depresi pada wanita usia lanjut.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik. Subjek penelitian adalah wanita usia
lanjut yang mengalami Inkontinensia urin, sebanyak 73 orang dan berusia ≥ 45 tahun.
Subjek diambil dari Panti Werda Dharma Bakti dan Posyandu Lansia binaan
Puskesmas Manahan Surakarta dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen yang
digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa kuesioner. Kuesioner yang dipakai terdiri atas
kuesioner diagnosa Inkontinensia urin skala SSI ( Sandvix Severity Index ) untuk
menilai tingkat Inkontinensia urin, skala L-MMPI ( Skala Lie Minnesota Multiphasik
Personality ) untuk menilai kejujuran dari jawaban yang diberikan oleh subjek
penelitian dan terakhir adalah skala HRSD untuk menilai derajat depresi. Semua data
yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini dianalisis dengan uji statistik Korelasi Spearman
dengan nilai a = 0,05.
Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan diantara Inkontinensia urin
dengan derajat depresi . Hasil dari uji statistik Korelasi Spearman menunjukkan nilai
Z lebih besar dari 0,975 Z (5,218 > 1,96), ini berarti bahwa baik Inkontinensia urin
maupun derajat depresi keduanya memiliki hubungan yang signifikan.

Hubungan antara inkontinensia urin dengan derajat depresi pada wanita usia lanjut

Latar belakang : Salah satu dari masalah usia lanjut adalah inkontinensia urine.
Inkontinensia urine cenderung tidak dilaporkan oleh usia lanjut karena dianggap
memalukan dan mengakibatkan adanya perasaan rendah diri. Inkontinensia urine
mempunyai kemungkinan untuk disembuhkan sehingga kualitas hidup penderita
meningkat. Salah satu metode penanganannya adalah dengan senam kegel. Berdasar
penelitian tingkat penyembuhan dengan menggunakan senam kegel ini telah
diperkirakan sebesar 77%.
Tujuan penelitian : Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah diketahuinya efektivitas senam
kegel terhadap inkontinensia urine pada usia lanjut di Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha
Unit Budi Luhur Yogyakarta.
Metode penelitian : Desain penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu
(Quasi Eksperiment) dengan rancangan Non-Equivalent Control Group.
Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode sampling jenuh, yaitu semua anggota
populasi digunakan sebagai sampel. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 20 orang terdiri dari 10
orang sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 10 orang sebagai kelompok kontrol.
Hasil penelitian : Berdasar analisa data Mann-Whitney U-Test, didapatkan hasil
p= 0,000 (p<0,05). Sehingga Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, artinya senam kegel efektif
dalam menangani inkontinensia urine pada usia lanjut. Hal ini sesuai dengan teori
bahwa senam kegel akan menyebabkan terjadinya hipertrofi otot-otot dasar panggul,
dan sangat efektif jika dalam latihan menggunakan otot dasar panggul yang tepat.
Kesimpulan : Senam kegel efektif dalam menurunkan frekuensi inkontinensia urine
pada usia lanjut. Terdapat 20 orang usia lanjut yang mengalami kejadian
inkontinensia urine. Serta terdapat perbedaan kejadian inkontinensia urine antara usia
lanjut yang mengikuti senam kegel dengan yang tidak mengikuti senam kegel.
Saran : Saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya yaitu mengikutsertakan laki-laki sebagai
responden. Selain itu, bisa juga dilakukan penelitian dengan jenis terapi yang
berbeda.

One of the problems of elderly is urine incontinence. Urine frequency by
elderly more than 8 time a day. Data pre study in in nursing home Darma Bakti
Pajang of Surakarta known 31 elderly had experienced urine incontinence. One
effort to overcome. the objectives was to know influence of kegel exercise to urine
frequency of elderly. Design research use quasi experiment design with pretestposttest
one group design. The sample was 44 elderly who living in nursing home
Darma Bakti Pajang of Surakarta. Taking sample used simple random sampling.
Data then tested with wilcoxon test. The results of the study that pre test 32
respondents with urine frequency in normal category, 12 respondents abnormal.
There were 41 respondents with urine frequency in of normal category in post
test, while 3 elderly included in abnormal. The results of the analysis test
Wilcoxon with value p = 0,001, it means there was an influence of exercise kegel
to urine frequency of elderly in nursing home Darma Bakti Pajang of Surakarta.

Pengaruh Latihan Senam Kegel Terhadap Frekuensi Berkemih Pada Lansia

Background: The ageing process is usually characterized by physical, biological, mental, or psychosocial changes. Kegel exercises are beneficial for strengthening the double muscles of the pelvic floor, thereby strengthening the function of the external sphincter of the bladder. The research purposes were to prove the Effectiveness of Kegel Education for The Elderly as A Form of The Authority of The Midwife in Community Midwife Care
Methods: The method used in the pra experiment in this community service activity is divided into three stages and is supported through a pretest and posttest to evaluate activities. An evaluation is carried out after one month of providing education. The population was all older adults, and This activity was attended by 27 older adults in the Tabanan I Health Center.
Results: The result of the research show that the average score of the frequency of urination before being given Kegel exercises was 0.19 after being given Kegel exercises of 0.85. It also obtained an at-count value of -6.245 and a p-value of 0.000 < (0.05) so that it can be concluded that Kegel exercise education influences the elderly in the Tabanan Health Center area.
Conclusion: Education Kegel exercises affect urinary incontinence. Kegel exercise can stimulate and increase the activation of chemical, neuromuscular, and muscular in the pelvic muscles so that it can reduce the frequency of urination in the elderly. Providing education related to Kegel exercise will greatly assist midwives in carrying out the midwife's authority in community care.

Effectiveness of Kegel Education for The Elderly as A Form of The Authority of The Midwife in Community Midwife Care

Background: Urinary incontinence is an uncontrolled release of urine in considerable amounts, this is due to changes in bladder structure and pelvic floor muscle resulting in the elderly being unable to withstand urine during urination. Objectives: The aims of this research were to determine the influence of kegel exercise on elderly patients with urinary incontinence in Technical Implementation Unit of Social Service Tresna Werdha Jombang. Method: The design of pre-experimental research design with one group pre-post-test design approach, conducted on 25 April to 25 May 2018. The Population of all elderly urinary incontinence in Technical Implementation Unit of Social Service Tresna Werdha Jombang were 10 respondents. Sampling technique total sampling. Independent variable of kegel exercise, dependent variable urinary incontinence. Data collection using ICIQ - UI SF questionnaire. Statistical test using Wilcoxon with significant level α = 0.05. Results: The Result of the study from 10 respondents, mostly 7 respondents (70%) before the kegel exercise had moderate urinary incontinence, while almost all of 8 respondents (80%) after kegel exercise had mild urinary incontinence. Wilcoxon statistical test result obtained p value = 0,008 ≤ 0,05 then Ha accepted so that there is influence of kegel exercise on elderly patients with urinary incontinence in Technical Implementation Unit of Social Service Tresna Werdha Jombang. Conclusion: Kegel exercise proved to increase pelvic floor muscle strength and reduce urinary incontinence, so it is necessary to do the elderly regularly and periodically. The elderly go through the aging process, which will lose resistance to infection with the accumulation of degenerative diseases and also the accumulation of uric acid. The elderly with increased uric acid will experience repeated joint pain due to the precipitate of monosodium urate crystals accumulated in the joints. One of the treatments of joint pain in addition to pharmacological therapy there are also non-pharmacological therapies that can reduce side effects, affordable, easy to get and easy to do, namely one of the natural ingredients that are suitable for causing warm sensations, one of which is red ginger. Red ginger reduces pain due to the content of gingerol and shangoal which add heat to warm compresses, besides that the skilooginase content in red ginger is able to inhibit prostaglandins to deliver pain. The purpose of this research to knowing the effect of red ginger warm compresses on changes in joint pain in elderly with gout. This research is a pre-experimental research with One-Group Pre-Post test design approach. The study was conducted in 20 people with the total sampling technique in the Posyandu for the Elderly of Bagor Kulon Villageor 3 days. Measurement of the pain was VAS was given before and after the patients were given warm red ginger compresses. The data was analyzed SPSS 21 Paired Samples test. The Statistical test results obtained p value 0.000 so there is an Effect of Red Ginger Warm Compresses On changes in Joint pain in elderly gout. Red ginger warm compresses can be used as a non-pharmacological therapy in reducing gouty arthritis in the elderly.
