A detection method of short-time double-Duffing chaotic oscillator array with variable amplitude coefficients (VASTD-Duffing) is proposed for the problem of Duffing chaotic oscillator system's miss detection generated by envelope fluctuation and distribution information in the time domain of the signals. A short-time characteristic window approach and periodic extension method to envelope fluctuation signals based on short-time stationarity of underwater acoustic signals is proposed. Meanwhile, a detection of double-Duffing chaotic oscillator (D-Duffing) is adopted here in order to alleviate the influence of phase blind areas and to solve the problem of conventional Duffing oscillator system lacking time-frequent resolution. In order to detect arbitrary amplitude signals, to reduce the probability of miss detection caused by the driving force less than the critical value and blind angle, quantifiable statistical discrimination results are obtained by a Poincare mapping set method with variable amplitude coefficients. The results of the experiment verify the feasibility and accuracy of the new approach.

Multistatic sonar has the characteristics of traditional passive and active sonar, including good concealment performance, strong anti-interference ability, far-distance reaction, high positioning accuracy, the advantages of easy-to-optimization design, etc. Multistatic sonar will be the important direction for future development of active sonar. About the scattering characteristics of multistatic sonar targets, this paper establishes a bistatic sonar scattering model with ellipsoidal targets as an example. The variation of the target intensity with the incident angle is calculated under the condition of bistatic sonar. The concept of the equivalent incident angle is introduced to calculate the variation of the target intensity with it, and analyze the scattering characteristics. All the results provide theoretical basis for the underwater targets positioning, detection and identification by the multistatic sonar system.

Study on bistatic scattering characteristics of an ellipsoidal object

Under the conditions of low detection probabilities, high clutter rates, low data-sampling rates, large measurement errors, and unknown prior information of the target position, multi-object tracking is difficult. This paper proposes a multidimensional information fusion method in active sonar via the generalized labeled multi-Bernoulli (GLMB) filter. After modeling the position measurement, radial velocity measurement and amplitude measurement of the target and clutter, new target births are adaptively generated by the measurement-driven model, predictions are made by the target motion model and updates are performed via multidimensional measurements with the generalized likelihood in the GLMB filter, which enables the measurement information of different dimensions to be elegantly applied to information fusion and significantly improves the filter performance. The contribution of specific dimension measurement to fusion can be evaluated by the Kullback-Leibler (KL) divergence. In the efficient implementation, we propose flat Gibbs sampling to realize multiple hypothesis optimization. Moreover, the filtering recursion is derived from Gaussian mixtures. Simulations are presented to verify the proposed method.

Multidimensional Information Fusion in Active Sonar via the Generalized Labeled Multi-Bernoulli Filter

A detection method of Multi-Duffing chaotic oscillator (M-Duffing oscillator) with variable amplitude coefficients is proposed for the problem of Duffing chaotic oscillator system's miss detection generated by envelope fluctuation and blind angle. The Duffing oscillator detection method has the ability of weak signal detection based on the sensitivity to driving force amplitude. But the envelope fluctuation and blind angle can cause the false rejection detection. Meanwhile, a detection method of M-Duffing chaotic oscillator is adopted here in order to alleviate the influence of phase blind areas and to solve the problem of lacking time-frequency resolution of conventional Duffing oscillator systems. To overcome the shortcomings of the phase diagram discrimination method in quantitative analysis, a Lyapunov exponent identification method is proposed. The results of the experiment verify the feasibility and accuracy of the new approach.

Detection Method of Eliminating False Rejection Based on M-Duffing Oscillator with Variable Amplitude Coefficients

A tracking filter algorithm based on the maneuvering detection delay is presented in order to solve the fuzzy problem of target maneuver decision introduced by the measure?ment errors of active sonar. When the maneuvering detection is unclear, two target moving hypotheses, the uniform and the maneuver, derived from the method of multiple hypothesis tracking, are generated to delay the final decision time. Then the hypothesis test statistics is constructed by using the residual sequence. The active sonar?s tracking ability of unknown prior information targets is improved due to the modified sequential probability ratio test and the integration of the advantages of strong tracking filter and the Kalman filter. Simulation results show that the algorithm is able to not only track the uniform targets accurately, but also track the maneuvering targets steadily. The effectiveness of the algorithm for real underwater acoustic targets is further verified by the sea trial data processing results.
