The rotation detection unit includes a comparator connected to the armature winding, a first circuit for providing a first threshold voltage that is higher than negative side voltage of the battery and lower than a half of the nominal battery voltage and a second circuit for providing a second threshold voltage that is lower than the nominal voltage and higher than a half of the nominal voltage. The comparator compares the output voltage with one of the first threshold voltage and second threshold voltage. The above structure makes rotation detection accurate and easy even if leak current exist in the armature winding.

PURPOSE:To shorten a rise time of a generator voltage by detecting rise of a generator to set a power transistor to the ON state. CONSTITUTION:A power supply circuit 10 generates a reference voltage. A voltage detecting circuit 11 detects a rise voltage of a generator 1 and compares it with the reference voltage. An output transitor Q4 is controlled by a voltage detecting circuit 11 and also controls conduction of the power transistor Q1. With detection of the rise time of the generator 1, the transistor Q1 is set to the ON state. Namely, when the generator l enters the operating condition, the power transistor Q1 is immediately set to the ON state, upon detection of a value or frequency of the voltage generated at the initial stage of the operation and the voltage generated is impressed in direct to an excitation coil 3 in order to permit a suffucient excitation current to be fed. Thereby, a rise time of the generator 1 can be shortened.

SOLUTION: This rod holding tool for rotatably installing a rod 5 to a panel 1 is constituted of a base member 10 fixed to an installing hole 1e of the panel 1A, and a holding member 20 assembled to the base member 10 and for installing the base end 5a of the rod 5. The base member 10 is provided with a plate part 11A to be allowed to abut on the panel 1A, and an approximately cylindrical leg part 12 provided on the plate part 11A and to be engaged with the attaching hole 1e. The holding member 20 is provided with an engaging shaft part 21 inserted in the cylinder of the leg part 12 and prevented from slipping off, and a connecting part 23 projecting on the engaging shaft part 21 and for hooking the base end 5a of the rod 5. The rod 5 is rotated in relation to the panel 1A in the approximately vertical direction by taking the base end 5a hooked on the connecting part 23 as a fulcrum, and it is rotated in the approximately horizontal direction through the engagement of the engaging shaft part 21 and the leg part 12.
