A dual mode, thermal management system for use in a vehicle is provided. At a minimum, the system includes a first coolant loop in thermal communication with a battery system, a second coolant loop in thermal communication with at least one drive train component (e.g., electric motor, power electronics, inverter), and a dual mode valve system that provides means for selecting between a first mode where the two coolant loops operate in parallel, and a second mode where the two coolant loops operate in series.

An air conditioning system for a vehicle comprises: an air conditioning device which is provided with a compressor (1) for compressing a first refrigerant (40) and also with a first heat exchanger (2) for exchanging heat between the first refrigerant (40) and the outside air, and which adjusts the temperature of the air within the vehicle interior; and an equipment cooling device which circulates a second refrigerant (41B) between a second heat exchanger (7B) and equipment (53, 54, 55), which electrically drives the vehicle, to thereby release at the second heat exchanger (7B) the heat, which is absorbed by the second refrigerant (41B) from the equipment (53, 54, 55), to the air in the vehicle interior. The air conditioning system is also provided with a heat dissipation suppressing structure (60) for suppressing the heat dissipation from the equipment (53, 54, 55) to the surrounding environment.

A vehicle air-conditioning system includes an HVAC unit that blows air whose temperature is adjusted by a refrigerant evaporator and a second refrigerant condenser. The system includes a heat pump cycle in which a refrigerant compressor, a refrigerant circuit changeover section, a first refrigerant condenser, a first expansion valve, and the refrigerant evaporator are sequentially connected. The system includes a second expansion valve and a refrigerant heat exchanger connected in parallel with the first expansion valve and the refrigerant evaporator. The second refrigerant condenser is connected in parallel with the first refrigerant condenser. The invention relates generally to welding and, more specifically, to welding wires for arc welding, such as Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) or Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW). In one embodiment, a tubular welding wire includes a sheath and a core. Further, the core includes a carbon source and an agglomerate having a Group I or Group II compound, silicon dioxide, and titanium dioxide. Additionally, the carbon source and the agglomerate together comprise less than 10% of the core by weight.

A heat exchange system for realizing an adequate heat exchange among a plural type of fluids uses a refrigerant radiator and a radiator which are combined to have one unit for enabling heat exchange between a refrigerant and a coolant, and decreases an inflow amount of the coolant flowing into the radiator when coolant temperature of the coolant flowing into the radiator is equal to or higher than a second standard temperature, which is set to be lower than a temperature of the refrigerant flowing into the refrigerant radiator, and is equal to or lower than a predetermined first standard temperature. In such manner, heat from the refrigerant is effectively transferred to an outside air by reducing an unwanted heat exchange between the refrigerant and the outside air.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variety of action modes for transmitting/receiving heat to/from an engine system, an HV system, and a cabin, regardless of engine action. SOLUTION: The system comprises a heat pump cycle comprising a compressor, a first four-way valve, an outside air heat exchanger, a first expansion valve, and a cabin side heat exchanger, and the engine system comprising an engine, and an engine cooling water system. It is also provided with a water-coolant heat exchanger 33 for heat-exchanging between cooling water and coolant, a second four-way valve 41, and a second expansion valve 43. The first four-way valve 40 forms a coolant passage between the compressor and the outside air heat exchanger 31, and the second four-way valve 41 forms a coolant passage between the outside air heat exchanger 31 and the cabin side heat exchanger 34 under switching control. The first expansion valve 42 disposed between the outside air heat exchanger 31 and the second four-way valve 41 is controlled with the degree of opening, while the second expansion valve 43 disposed between the coolant heat exchanger 33 and the cabin side heat exchanger 34 is controlled to fully open, so that the action mode is selected between cabin air-conditioning and equipment cooling (with priority on air-conditioning). PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat exchanging performance by suppressing an air layer to reduce contact heat resistance by allowing paste brazing filler metal or diamond of nano-meter unit having graphite carbon with pure diamond as a nucleus, to enter micro uneven parts of the outer peripheral surface of a heat transfer tube and fin collars, and to suppress contact heat resistance to improve heat exchanging performance by generating electromotive force to the heat transfer tube using high frequency induction heating when inserting a tube enlarging tool into the heat transfer tube, and inserting the tube enlarging tool with a diameter larger than the inner diameter, into the inner surface of the heat transfer tube by eutectic melting, thereby causing a eutectic solidification phenomenon to carry out alloying pressure welding. SOLUTION: The paste brazing filler metal or liquid dispersedly containing diamond of nano-meter unit having graphite carbon with pure diamond as the nucleus, is applied thin to the outer peripheral surface of the heat transfer tube, and the heat transfer tube is inserted in metal fins having fin collars arranged at predetermined spaces to carry out tube enlarging pressure welding. SOLUTION: The freezing equipment is provided with a two stage compressor having a high stage compressor part and a low stage compressor part, a high pressure side heat exchanger, a gas-liquid separator, a low pressure side heat exchanger, an upstream side pressure reducing device provided between the high pressure side heat exchanger and the gas-liquid separator, a downstream side pressure reducing device provided between the gas-liquid separator and the low pressure side heat exchanger, an injection piping guiding an intermediate pressure refrigerant from a gas outlet of the gas-liquid separator to a suction side of the high stage compressor part, and an injection control valve provided in a midway part of the injection piping. An opening of the downstream side pressure reducing device is adjusted on the basis of a temperature of the gas-liquid separator, and a compressor side temperature of the injection piping. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger with high efficiency, in which condensation performance and evaporation performance of the heat exchanger are improved while suppressing an increase in draft resistance.SOLUTION: The heat exchanger includes a first heat exchanger and a second heat exchanger, each having a plurality of plate-like fins arranged in the direction of the plate thickness and heat conduction pipes in a plurality of stages penetrating the plate-like fins and disposed in a longitudinal direction of the plate-like fins. The heat exchanger exchanges heat between air and a refrigerant by circulating the refrigerant in the heat conduction pipes and supplying air in a perpendicular direction with respect to the plate thickness direction of the plate-like fins. The first heat exchanger is located in a windward side of the second heat exchanger. Each of the plate-like fins of the first heat exchanger and the second exchanger has a chevron shape in the longitudinal direction, formed such that the chevron shape formed in the plate-like fins of the first heat exchanger is lower than the chevron shape formed in the plate-like fins of the second heat exchanger. The pipe diameter of the heat conduction pipes in the first heat exchanger is smaller than the pipe diameter of the heat conduction pipes in the second heat exchanger.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant flow control valve, reducing the space for installation while uniforming the divided flow of a refrigerant in a heat exchanger for cooling during cooling operation. SOLUTION: This refrigerant flow control valve is composed of a valve element for controlling the rotating angle and a valve chest part having one refrigerant inflow port and two outlets. The lower part of the valve element is formed obliquely to the axial sections of two refrigerant outflow ports, and a clearance gap is provided to perform throttle action at the rotating angle to minimize both sectional areas between two refrigerant outflow ports and the inlet. In a refrigerant flow control valve composed of a valve element vertically moved in the axial direction by rotation, the valve element is formed asymmetrical to the axial section of a refrigerant inflow port. In a refrigerant flow control valve composed of a vertically movable valve element, the lower part of the valve element is formed asymmetrical to the axial section of a refrigerant inflow port so that the flow rates of a refrigerant flowing out of two refrigerant outflow ports have a predetermined flow rate ratio.
