Journal ArticleDOI
Statistical analysis of hydrochemistry of groundwater and its implications for water source identification: a case study
TL;DR: Li et al. as mentioned in this paper used factor analysis to identify the source of inrush water from the 8101 working face in the Wolonghu coal mine, Northern Anhui Province, China, a total of 22 groundwater samples from three aquifer systems (loose layer, coal bearing sandstone, and the underlying limestone) were collected for analyzing major ion concentrations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydro-chemical evolution of groundwater and mixing between aquifers: a statistical approach based on major ions
Linhua Sun,Herong Gui +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, major ion concentrations of 53 groundwater samples from the coal-bearing aquifer in the Qidong coal mine, northern Anhui Province of China have been processed by statistical analysis for understanding either hydro-chemical characteristics or hydrological evolution, which will be useful for the safety of coal mining.
Journal ArticleDOI
Establishment of water source discrimination model in coal mine by using hydrogeochemistry and statistical analysis: a case study from Renlou Coal Mine in northern Anhui Province, China
Linhua Sun,Herong Gui +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a simple method for constructing the water source discrimination model based on major ions and multivariate statistical analysis was reported using the following procedures: collection of data and interpretation, analysis of controlling factors based on the chemical composition of groundwater, pure sample chosen, and discrimination model establishment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Heavy metals in groundwater from the Wolonghu coal mine, northern Anhui Province, China and their hydrological implications
TL;DR: In this paper, concentrations of eight kinds of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cu, Ni, Cr, Zn, Fe and Mn) in groundwater from three deep aquifers in the Wolonghu coal mine, northern Anhui Province, China have been analyzed for water quality assessment and water source identification.
Journal ArticleDOI
Source identification of inrush water based on groundwater hydrochemistry and statistical analysis
Linhua Sun,Song Chen,Herong Gui +2 more
TL;DR: In this article, the major ion concentrations of the groundwater collected from four representative aquifer systems in the Baishan coal mine, northern Anhui Province, China, have been analyzed by a series of statistical methods.
