Controllable Fabrication of Zinc Borate Hierarchical Nanostructure on Brucite Surface for Enhanced Mechanical Properties and Flame Retardant Behaviors
TL;DR: The design of fine structure might pave the way for the future development of halogen-free flame retardants combining both enhanced mechanical properties and excellent flame retardant behaviors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Promoting and Tuning Porosity of Flexible Ether-Linked Phthalazinone-Based Covalent Triazine Frameworks Utilizing Substitution Effect for Effective CO2 Capture
Kuanyu Yuan,Cheng Liu,Lishuai Zong,Guipeng Yu,Shengli Cheng,Jinyan Wang,Zhihuan Weng,Xigao Jian +7 more
TL;DR: The experimental results revealed that the introduction of the substituents can effectively decrease the probability of the network interpenetration from the longer struts and the intermolecular/intramolecular intercalation from the increased degree of conformation freedom in the flexible ether-linkage, making porous PHCTFs promising candidates applied in gas sorption and separation field.
Journal ArticleDOI
Toughening and reinforcing of benzoxazine resins using a new hyperbranched polyether epoxy as a non-phase-separation modifier
TL;DR: A novel hyperbranched polyether epoxy (HBPEE) bearing a stiff fluorene unit and flexible aliphatic chains has been synthesized using a one-pot approach and used as a toughener for bis-benzoxazine resin (MDA-BOZ).
Journal ArticleDOI
Amino-terminated nitrogen-rich layer to improve the interlaminar shear strength between carbon fiber and a thermoplastic matrix
TL;DR: An amino-terminated nitrogen-rich layer of poly(cyclotriphosphazene-co-melamine) (PPM) coating was used to functionalize carbon fiber (CF) to strengthen the interfacial adhesion of CF reinforced copoly(phthalazinone ether sulfone)s (PPBES) through a facile in-situ polymerization as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hyperbranched polyether epoxy grafted graphene oxide for benzoxazine composites: Enhancement of mechanical and thermal properties
TL;DR: In this paper, the properties and morphologies of graphene oxide (GO) and benzoxazine (BOZ) sheets were characterized by FT-IR, XRD, XPS, Raman spectroscopy, TEM and AFM.
