Journal ArticleDOI

Interrelation between H-bond and Pi-electron delocalization.

TL;DR: H-bond plays a double role in biological systems: on one hand, as a relatively strong directional interaction, it leads to relatively stable supramolecular structures, and on the other hand, because of dynamic features of the proton, it is an active site for initiation of chemical reactions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phase transitions in alkylammonium halogenoantimonates and bismuthates

TL;DR: A review of the results of studies on the structure, phase transitions and physical properties of alkylammonium halogenoantimonates and bismuthates is presented in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure and phase transition in (CH3NH3)3Bi2Br9. A novel improper ferroelectrics

TL;DR: In this paper, the crystals of (CH3NH3)3Bi2Br9 have been grown which at room temperature are isomorphous with Cs3Bi 2Br9 and CH3NH 3 Sb 2Br 9 and showed three phase transitions at 188 ± 0.5, 140 ± 1, and 101.5 K.
Journal ArticleDOI

Proton transfer and correlations between the C-O, O-H, N-H and O⋯N bond lengths in amine phenolates

TL;DR: In this article, a relationship between the geometrical parameters of the O-H⋯ N bridge based on the results of X-ray diffraction studies of a number of amine-phenol hydrogen-bonded complexes covering a broad Δp K a range from −3.91 to 5.93 are proposed.
