The Bright and Dark Side of Altruism: Demographic, Personality Traits, and Disorders Associated with Altruism

TL;DR: For example, this article found that those who were low on Adjustment (Neuroticism) but high on Interpersonal Sensitivity (Agreeableness), Prudence (Conscientiousness) and Inquisitiveness (Openness) were more likely to value altruism and be motivated to commit altruistic acts which concerns helping others and creating an environment that places emphasis on customer service.

What makes an engaged employee? A facet-level approach to trait emotional intelligence as a predictor of employee engagement

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated how individual facets of Trait Emotional Intelligence predicted engagement levels among a sample of three hundred and six employees and found that a facet-level approach explained nearly twice the variance in engagement compared to taking a global representation of emotional intelligence.
