The study examined the impact of leadership style on organizational performance in selected Banks, in Ibadan Nigeria. Purposive sampling technique was adopted in selecting a total of sixty (60) respondents as sample for the study, while relevant data was gathered with the aid of a structured questionnaire. One hypothesis was formulated and inferential statistical tool was used to analyze the data specifically Pearson product moment correlation was used to examine the relationship between leadership style dimensions and organizational performance, while Regression analysis was used to examine the significant effect of leadership style dimensions on followers and performance. Findings showed positive and negative correlation between leadership style dimensions and organizational performance. It was also found that leadership style dimensions jointly predict organizational performance, which counted for 23% variance of performance. The study concluded that transformational and democratic leadership style should be employed by the Banks’ management in order to wax stronger in a global competitive environment.

Impact of Leadership Style on Organizational Performance: A Case Study of Nigerian Banks

The article mainly concernes is the establishment of a knowledge management programme from the perspective of knowledge and the knowledge-based theory of the firm that will assure sustainable competitive advantage and core competency within an enterprise. The authors analyze why a knowledge-sharing culture is essential for the firms to make knowledge management successfully. Broad recommendations for establishing a knowledge management programe that will be a source of sustainable competitive advantage are proposed.

Establishing a Knowledge Management Programme for Competitive Advantage in an Enterprise

For sustainable growth, macro policy makers will need to look at risk management in banking industry and impacts of macro factors on market risk in order to adjust policies and build risk management culture in banking system. What we need to adjust in trade balance, risk free rate and other policies? This is one of reasons for us to conduct this study.This paper measures the Beta CAPM in famous model under impacts of both macro internal and external variables during low inflation time 2015-2020 in the country. The evidence is the fundamental role of risk management in commercial bank has been increasing with new perspectives in management, corporate governance and risk management models. We will estimate effects in risk measurement of one of big listed Vietnam commercial bank, Asia commercial bank (ACB) during the low inflation period 2015-2020 with semiannual data. Through using analysis, synthesis statistics methods, and dialectical materialism method, combined with econometric model with 9 macro variables, we figure out that CPI has a positive correlation with Beta CAPM of ACB, while Risk free rate (Rf) and lending rate have negative correlation with Beta CAPM of the bank. It implies that increase in inflation, together with decrease in Rf and lending rate will increase market risk.Then, one of its major findings is the suggestion of macro and risk management policies for bank and relevant government agencies. Our recommendation can be used for reference and expand researches in many other emerging markets.

Psychological Ownership: A Meta-Analysis and Comparison of Multiple Forms of Attachment in the Workplace:

In this study, we examined the relationship between transformational leadership, employee engagement and employee performance. Furthermore the mediating effect of psychological ownership in the dimensions of self-efficacy, belongingness, self-identity and accountability are studied in the relationship of these variables with employee performance. The empirical findings of data, collected through questionnaires from sample of 270 employees and managers of telecom companies indicated significant relationship between transformational leadership, employee engagement practices and employee performance. Results also supported the mediation of psychological ownership in relationship of these variables. Managerial implications and future research directions are discussed.

Transformational leadership, employee engagement and performance: Mediating effect of psychological ownership

The objective of this study is to examine the stock returns variation to specific economic variables by applying a multi-factor model. The firms relating to banking and textile sectors were selected for this study on the basis of data availability, profitability and performance on the Karachi Stock Exchange. The data for the selected firms and economic variables obtained for the period of 10 years. GARCH model used to analyze risk and returns relationship. The tests applied on the stock returns of each firm and on the data set of the entire industry to generalize the results. The results disclose that market return is mainly accounts variation in stock returns, however the inclusion of other macroeconomic and industry related variables has added additional explanatory power in describing the stock returns variation. It is found that economic exposure is higher at industry level than firm level stock returns. Results also indicate that stock returns of different firms behave differently in similar economic conditions that acquaint investors about the risk diversification opportunity in the stock market.

Do economic factors influence stock returns? A firm and industry level analysis

The purpose of this empirical investigation is to clarify the relationship between different talent management activities and traditional human resource management practices. The study examines the relationship between employee’s emotional stability and talent management practices and the impact of these practices on organizations’ performance. The results show that talent management practices have positive impact on performance of organizations, and employee’s emotional stability mediates relationship between talent management practices and performance of organizations. This research article consists of two focal components: (1) what is talent management and how it can be distinguished from the earlier HR practices and (2) the analysis of research findings on talent management practices attained through survey questionnaire from the 150 management employees working in 25 listed companies in Pakistan.

Talent management is not an old wine in a new bottle

In this study, we examined the mediating impact of knowledge sharing on the relationship of information technology, organizational culture, teamwork, trust, employee motivation to disseminate their knowledge, and organizational performance. Data from 270 employees of telecommunication sector of Pakistan indicated that information technology, organizational culture, teamwork, trust, employee motivation to disseminate their knowledge, were positively related to the organizational performance. Moreover, the mediating relationship of knowledge sharing has been proved. Limitations and future directions are discussed at the end.
