Elastic constants versus melting temperature in metals
TL;DR: In this paper, a detailed analysis of relations empiriques existent entre the constantes elastiques and the temperature de fusion de metaux is presented, in order to determine le domaine dans lequel les constantes leastiques peuvent etre utilises.
Journal ArticleDOI
Basic principles for selecting phases for high temperature metal matrix composites: interfacial considerations
TL;DR: In this article, the author reconnu que des considerations interfaciales determineront ou non le succes dans l'emploi d'un materiau composite a matrice metallique.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation of Cu-TiN alloy by external nitridation in combination with mechanical alloying
TL;DR: In this article, a copper alloy strengthened by nanosized TiN was prepared by external nitridation in combination with mechanical alloying, and the resulting copper alloy had a grain size of about 150 nm in diameter after annealing at 1173 K in vacuum for 5.4 ks.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nitridation of niobium alloys: interface effects
Michael Schmerling,S. Ponnekanti,S.T. Mear,A. Yeoh,Feng Chi,M.E. Fine,Z. Eliezer,Harris L. Marcus +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, metal matrix composites were fabricated by nitridation of solute-rich NbTi and Nb-47wt.%Zr alloys to form large volumes of nitrides.
