TL;DR: West Nile virus (WNV) was isolated in a flock of 1,200 migrating white storks that landed in Eilat, a town in southern Israel, on August 26, 1998, and it is assumed that they had become infected with WNV at some point along their route of migration in Europe.

TL;DR: The results of the present study show that the PCR tests can be used for the early identification of vvMDV-1 DNA in pathological samples from diseased commercial chickens and to distinguish between the vv MDV- 1 and the three types of virus vaccines used to immunize chickens.
