Electrode kinetics and double-layer structure: III. The Eu(II)/Eu(III) electrode reaction at the DME in 1 M KCl and 1 M KI base electrolyte solutions

TL;DR: In this article, a detailed study of the kinetics of the Eu(III)/Eu(II) electrode reaction in 1M KCl and in 1 M KI at the dropping mercury electrode, by means of impedance measurements, both at equilibrium potentials (varying c ox * / c red / * ratio, c ox + c red * =10 m M ) and at externally controlled electrode potentials, was made.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrode kinetics and double layer structure: IV. The Eu(II)/Eu(III) electrode reaction at the DME in 1 M KSCN; Influence of complex formation

TL;DR: In this paper, a detailed study has been made of the Eu(III)/Eu(II) reaction at the DME in 1 M KSCN by means of impedance measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI

The interference of shielding and capillary response in the determination of rate parameters of electrode reactions and the double layer capacitance

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of a spurious frequency dispersion of the impedance of a dropping mercury electrode on the "apparent" kinetic parameters of an electrode reaction has been studied and two extreme possibilities are chosen: "shielding" impedance parallel to or in series with the electrode impedance.
