Determination of the prognostic value of cyclin D1 overexpression in breast cancer
G. G. Mcintosh,John Anderson,I. Milton,M Steward,A. H. Parr,M. D. Thomas,J. A. Henry,B. Angus,T. W. J. Lennard,C. H. W. Horne +9 more
TL;DR: The observations indicate that, in a subset of breast cancers, aberrant cyclin D1 expression is a contributory factor to tumorigenesis and in association with EGFR or pRB expression, identify those tumours which may require more aggressive therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Monoclonal antibodies recognizing CD5, CD10 and CD23 in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue: production and assessment of their value in the diagnosis of small B-cell lymphoma.
P. Watson,Katrina M Wood,A. Lodge,G. G. Mcintosh,I. D. Milton,Nigel H. Piggott,Stephen J. Proctor,Penelope R. A. Taylor,S. Smith,F. Jack,H Bell,M Steward,John Anderson,C. H. W. Horne,Brian Angus,Brian Angus +15 more
TL;DR: Monoclonal antibodies recognize antigens CD5, CD10 and CD23 in paraffin‐embedded tissue and their efficacy is assessed using a panel of cases of small B‐cell lymphoma of various subtypes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Production and characterization of a new monoclonal antibody effective in recognizing the CD3 T‐cell associated antigen in formalin‐fixed embedded tissue
TL;DR: This study has used a recombinant fusion protein representing part of the epsilon subunit of the CD3 molecule to generate a novel monoclonal antibody (NCL‐CD3‐PS1) effective in paraffin sections.
Journal Article
New monoclonal antibodies to the T cell antigens CD4 and CD8. Production and characterization in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue.
S. L. H. Williamson,M Steward,Ian D. Milton,A. H. Parr,Nigel H. Piggott,A. S. Krajewski,B. Angus,C. H. W. Horne +7 more
TL;DR: NCL- CD4 and NCL-CD8 may be of value in the characterization of T cell disorders and are suggested to be highly effective on paraffin-embedded tissue.
Journal ArticleDOI
Topoisomerase IIα and IIβ expression in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukaemia: relation to prognostic factors and clinical outcome
A J Lodge,Andrew G. Hall,Michael M. Reid,Gary McIntosh,M Steward,John Anderson,C. H. W. Horne,Brian Angus +7 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that the response to topoisomerase poisons cannot be predicted by the assessment of topoisomersase IIα and IIβ expression as defined by immunohistochemistry.
