Recent advances in electrochromics for smart windows applications

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present optical properties of crystalline WO3, WO2 and oxyfluoride films produced by reactive magnetron bias sputtering, and transparent reactively sputter-deposited Zr-Ce oxide counter electrodes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Towards the smart window: progress in electrochromics

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors outline the various applications of such devices in smart windows suitable for energy-conscious architecture, in variable-reflectance mirrors, and in display devices, and discuss critical materials issues and design concepts.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterisation of instantaneous water absorption properties of pharmaceutical excipients.

TL;DR: The results indicate that the instantaneous and long term water absorption properties of pharmaceutical powders can differ considerably.
Journal ArticleDOI

Zr-Ce Oxides as Candidates for Optically Passive Counter Electrodes

TL;DR: In this article, a reactive DC magnetron co-sputtering was used to determine the composition and structure of Zr-Ce oxide films with compositions from pure Zr oxide to pure Ce oxide, which were determined by Rutherford backscattering and X-ray diffraction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dielectric and Li transport properties of electron conducting and non-conducting sputtered amorphous Ta2O5 films

TL;DR: In this paper, two types of sputtered thin film amorphous tantalum oxide (Ta 2 O 5 ) were studied: one electron conducting Ta 2O 5 (ec-Ta 2 o 5 ) and the other nonconducting Ta 2 o5 (nc-Ta o 5 ), which were characterized by impedance spectroscopy and isothermal transient ionic current (ITIC) measurements.
