Cloud computing has been popular as the IT architecture. Cloud service providers offer many services based on cloud computing. Cloud storage service is the cloud services which can provide a huge storage space to solve the bottleneck of the storage space of local end users. However, cloud storage service may have data security because the users' data is not stored in their own storage. In this paper, we will focus on data integrity in the cloud storage service. Public auditability is a model of outsourcing data integrity verification, which can achieve efficiency and security. Therefore, we survey the previous researches of data integrity based on public auditability which includes collecting the basic requirements and evaluation metrics, providing the representative with approaches to analyze security and efficiency. Finally, we propose some future developments.

A Survey of Public Auditing for Secure Data Storage in Cloud Computing

Networked embedded systems have been increasingly deployed in key application areas such as healthcare, home automation, industrial machines, large scale military and environmental monitoring. This has enabled the cyber-physical systems paradigm through wireless sensor networks (WSN) which collect, store, process and transmit information about a focused physical process or system to evolve. One of the key challenges with this approach is handling in an efficient manner the large quantities of data that are being generated in real-time, and extracting the high-level information pieces that are to be presented to the stakeholders and end users. Both the data storage and communication infrastructure also raise security issues at both the decentralized, node-level, and at the central levels. To this extent, cloud-based services and frameworks offer a promising alternative to storing, analyzing and securing sensor data. The paper surveys the main developments in cloud services for handling and securing sensor data at a large scale with quality of service constraints in order to deliver the intended data to the end users.

Cloud challenges for networked embedded systems: A review

Hierarchical Identity-Based Signature (HIBS) is an efficient digital signature scheme to be applied to the cloud storage. However, the key escrow problem, which is an inherent problem in HIBS scheme, primarily hinders the widespread adoption of this cryptosystem in practice. In this paper we propose an HIBS scheme using composite order bilinear groups, and present the methodology of dual system signature to prove that our scheme is secure against existential forgery on adaptively chosen message and identity attack under standard model. Based on the scheme, we propose an escrow-free method that employs user-selected-secret signing algorithm and obtain an escrow-free HIBS scheme. We illuminate that our scheme can resist the key abusing and user slandering attacks.

An Escrow-Free Hierarchical Identity-Based Signature Scheme from Composite Order Bilinear Groups

The present business trend highly demands more sophisticated techniques for remote data storage to stay alive in the competition among the business holders. The situation is more critical when the data to be stored is confidential information such as business policies, business rules and statistical data about the organization that is often needed to be shared with in the trusted enclave. Inevitably this scenario forces the need for the remote data integrity on mistrusted public cloud where the integrity of the data is not only being checked by the owner of the file but also by the people in the trusted enclave. This paper addresses new solution for remote data integrity using access code by implementing data level dynamics without the need for third party auditors.

A Secure Access Code Technique for Remote Data Integrity on Public Cloud

With the advancement of cloud computing and storage technology, large-scale databases are being exponentially generated today. Storage management systems to cloud it still faces a number of fundamental and critical challenges, among which storage space and security is the top concern. To ensure the correctness of user and user’s data in the cloud, we propose third party authentication system. In addition to simplified data storage and secure data acquisition. Finally we will perform security and performance analysis which shows that the proposed scheme is highly efficient for maintaining secure data storage and acquisition.

A Survey on Privacy Preserving Technique to Secure Cloud

IT has moved into next generation with cloud computing being realized. The way application software and databases are stored has been changed. Now they are stored in cloud data centers in which security is a concern from client point of view. The new phenomenon which is used to store and manage data without capital investment has brought many security challenges which are not thoroughly understood. This paper focuses on the security and integrity of data stored in cloud data servers. The data integrity verification is done by using a third party auditor who is authorized to check integrity of data periodically on behalf of client. The client of the data gets notifications from third party auditor when data integrity is lost. Not only verification of data integrity, the proposed system also supports data dynamics. The work that has been done in this line lacks data dynamics and true public auditability. The auditing task monitors data modifications, insertions and deletions. The proposed system is capable of supporting both public auditability and data dynamics. The review of literature has revealed the problems with existing systems and that is the motivation behind taking up this work. Merkle Hash Tree is used to improve block level authentication. In order to handle auditing tasks simultaneously, bilinear aggregate signature is used. This enables TPA to perform auditing concurrently for multiple clients. Hence here I are presenting the evaluation of multi user based TPA system. The experiments reveal that the proposed system is very efficient and also secure.
