Spectral characteristics of salt-affected soils: A laboratory experiment
TL;DR: In this article, the use of laboratory spectroscopy to recognize the presence and abundance of salts in soils has been studied, where statistical techniques were used to detect and characterise diagnostic absorption bands and to develop predictive regression models between the spectral signature and soil salinity levels.

Knowledge-guided data-driven evidential belief modeling of mineral prospectivity in Cabo de Gata, SE Spain
Emmanuel John M. Carranza,F.J.A. van Ruitenbeek,Christoph Hecker,M. van der Meijde,F.D. van der Meer +4 more
TL;DR: Using ‘treated’ evidence maps, instead of ' original'evidence maps, results in better Mineral prospectivity maps and knowledge-guided data-driven modeling of mineral prospectivity is better than a 'purely' data- driven modeling of minerals prospectivity.
