Abstract: The copolymerization of acrylonitrile (AN) with ethyl methacrylate (EMA) was investigated in different solvents. The highest rate was observed in dimethylformamide and the lowest in benzene. The activation energy was determined in the temperature range of 60–80°C and was found to be 82 kJ/mol. The effects of temperature and monomer concentration on the intrinsic viscosity of the copolymers were investigated. Die Copolymerisation von Acrylnitril (AN) und Athylmethacrylat (EMA) wurde in verschiedenen Losungsmitteln untersucht. Die hochste Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit wurde in Dimethylformamid, die niedrigste in Benzol gefunden. Die Aktivierungsenergie wurde im Temperaturbereich von 60–80°C zu 82 kJ/mol bestimmt. Die Auswirkungen von Temperatur und Monomerkonzentration auf den Staudinger-Index der Copolymere wurden untersucht.
