Journal ArticleDOI

Corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete of different compressive strengths

TL;DR: In this paper, reinforced concrete specimens were immersed in a 3% NaCl solution by weight for 1, 7 and 15 days, and the corrosion rate was measured by retrieving electrochemical information of polarization technique.
Journal ArticleDOI

Compaction, sintering and mechanical properties of elemental 6061 Al powder with and without sintering aids

TL;DR: In this article, the performance of the premixed (elemental) 6061 Al powder with and without sintering aids was investigated and it was found that additions of ∼0.12% Pb was the most effective and enhanced the response by obtaining almost a full sintered density (∼2.7"g/cm 3 ) with a corresponding increase in the hardness and tensile strength values as compared to the base 6061Al alloy powder mixture without Pb addition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Imaging of the cell surface interface using objective coupled widefield surface plasmon microscopy.

TL;DR: The results indicate that the cell surface interface and thus cell signalling mechanisms may be readily interrogated in live cells without the use of labelling techniques and that cell surface interfacial interactions to be tracked by time-lapse video WSPR microscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene compatibilizer on the morphology and properties of polypropylene/multiwalled carbon nanotube composite

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene (MA-g-PP) compatibilizer on the mechanical and electrical properties of a poly-propylene-carbon nanotube composite is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective Laser Melting of Prealloyed High Alloy Steel Powder Beds

TL;DR: In this paper, the results of a recent comprehensive investigation of selective laser melting of prealloyed gas and water atomised M2 and H13 tool steel powders were presented.
