Nitrendipine and enalapril combination therapy in mild to moderate hypertension: assessment of dose-response relationship by a clinical trial of factorial design.

TL;DR: The anti-hypertensive efficacy of the combination was found to be superior to both monotherapies at any doses, and the dose combination achieving the greatest blood pressure reduction was nitrendipine 20 mg and enalapril 10 mg.

Inverse sampling and triangular sequential designs to compare a small proportion with a reference value

TL;DR: Inverse sampling and formal sequential designs may prove useful in reducing the sample size in studies where a small population proportion p is compared with a hypothesized reference proportion p 0 as mentioned in this paper, and the expected savings in sample size, when the alternative hypothesis is true, are 20% of the fixed sample size for the inverse sampling design and 40% for the triangular sequential design.
