The purpose of this paper is to present a smart interactive mirror interface. In this paper, we describe the design and development of a futuristic mirror that offers simplified and customisable services to the home environment. On a par with the recent advances in the Internet of Things standards and applications, the mirror is designed to enable residents to control the household smart appliances and access personalised services; ensuring convenience in accessing these services with the slightest possible user intervention. The multipurpose user-friendly functionalities of the proposed mirror interface provide users with the versatility needed for better management and integration of daily tasks. A service oriented approach is adopted in the architecture of the proposed system. It consists mainly of two mobile applications devoted to the customisation of user profiles, which are displayed on the smart mirror interface once successfully paired. Moreover, in the proposed system, emphasis is particularly given to the user profile personalisation, as well as planned system interactivity and adaptability. Hence, the proposed system is set apart from others for its ease of use as well as its provision of various customised information services for user profile generation.

A Mobile-Programmable Smart Mirror for Ambient IoT Environments

In the XXI century, electronic commerce is considered as an alternative to reduce costs, increase the productivity, among other benefits, all of them perceived through the digitalization of billing. Although there is a large amount of literature on this field, such literature is not focused on electronic invoicing platforms with notification delivery. Thus, the present systematic literature review has been performed, it is based on a reliable, auditable and rigorous methodology in order to know and clarify the state of the art in the subject associated to electronic invoicing, technological aspects related and notification systems. The analysis of the 39 selected papers from a total of 1202, shows the absence of studies that relate the use of notifications into e-invoicing systems.

A Systematic Literature Review of Electronic Invoicing, Platforms and Notification Systems

In this article, we try to design the architecture of a smart notification system using an Android gadget for academic notification in college. Academic notification in colleges now utilizes bulletin boards and online media such as websites or social media. The problem faced is the high cost and resources required to deliver the academic notification. Another problem is whether the information delivered can be right to the students who need it. We proposed the architecture of a smart notification system that can reduce the cost, and the information delivered can be right on target to the students in need.

The design of smart notification on android gadget for academic announcement

Due to the fast-paced life nowadays, people are unaware of keeping their lockers safe and secure. There are very few systems, which allow the users to know who visits locker rooms in their absence and also communicates with authorized user. A new system proposed by us, allows the user to know when someone else tries to access their locker, immediately sends the alarm to the authorized user, and also provides the option to either give access to legitimate user or to deny the permission. In this paper, a camera is continuously monitoring the area, and detects a person, within 14 seconds if the image of the user in front of the camera does not match with the authorized user database of images, then Raspberry Pi system instructs the camera to click a picture. Once that has been ascertained that it is a unauthorized person near the locker, notifies the legitimate user with a message that a unauthorized person is trying to access the locker. The system designed collates other information from the server along with the image and sends the notification to the authorized user. After reviewing the image and associated data, the user can further decide the next course of action.

Smart and Secure Locker System

Accidents tend to happen everywhere. The fast and apt response to an accident is very essential to ensure that the accident does not get severe. An appropriate help must be immediately contacted and arranged so that the accident can be handled properly before they get worse or it's too late. Accidents tend to happen more frequently in big industries and can harm people if not taken care of correctly. An appropriate emergency help needs to be arranged as soon as possible which is difficult sometimes because industries are in remote areas most of the time and they are spread over huge areas. Since industries are in remote areas and spread over lots of acres, reaching at the correct location in time could be delayed at times. The people working in an industry can get injured or require help due to an accident in the industry. The Emergency Service Responder App provides a platform to arrange appropriate help for the people of industry in case of any emergency by notifying people in an industry, ambulance, first aid center in an industry, family, concerned authorities, also provides navigation to the location of the accident This app helps significantly to provide the necessary help in case of accidents in big industries or premises which are situated in any place.

Emergency Situation Responder: An efficient accident response app

Mobile government is an innovative research area where efforts are made to advance governmental and public services. As such, in this paper, we propose a crisis management system for real-time emergency notification of users using mobile applications and smart watches. We develop an intuitive web portal using a client server architecture for governmental agencies to easily and efficiently notify users within the range of danger in the occurrence of a disaster through SMS or push notifications to the mobile application or the smart watch, if the latter is available. Moreover, real-time mapping for indoor localization systems are utilized for user navigation to the nearest exit with the added feature of floor plans for public locations that may be accessed offline for the convenience of the users. The system is also designed for instant emergency aid assistance in case of a medical personal difficulty through the use of the developed dedicated bilingual multi-platform mobile application.
