TL;DR: Two alternative technologies were evaluated for Aedes aegypti control: the spraying of a biological larvicide (Bti) in potential peridomiciliary breeding sites and the release of sterile males to promote reproduction blockage in wild females, although local mosquito population presented high vector competence to Zika and Dengue virus.
