Journal ArticleDOI

Distribution and composition of the lichenized mycota in a landscape mosaic of southern Brazil

TL;DR: The highest species diversity was recorded in the Araucaria plantation while the greatest occurrence of shade tolerant taxa was found in the native AraUCaria forest type, which may be related to the host-tree characteristics found in these areas.
Journal ArticleDOI

The analytical characterization of a depside in a living species: Spectroscopic and theoretical analysis of lecanoric acid extracted from Parmotrema tinctorum Del. Ex Nyl. lichen

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used Raman spectroscopy for the analytical characterization of the Parmotrema tinctorum Del. lichen, and the results confirmed the potential of Raman spectrum for taxonomic characterization of lichen species.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI

A pot-pourri of new species of Trypetheliaceae resulting from molecular phylogenetic studies

TL;DR: 21 new species are described, from the Neotropics and tropical Asia, in the genera Architrypethelium, Astrothelium, Bathelium), Nigrovothelium (1), Trypethelioid pseudostromata, and Viridothelia (2), with variations in the presence of lichexanthone on the well-delimited pseudostrome and in the slightly shorter ascospores.
Journal ArticleDOI

Líquens da reserva biológica do Alto da Serra de Paranapiacaba

TL;DR: This work verified the old and recent lichen floras of the biological reserve of the Serra de Paranapiacaba and found 63 species, which can together be the responsible for the flora poorness.
