It describes the application of the Narrative Interview technique as a data collection technique for social investigation. One of the aims of the technique is to construct or reconstruct a fact from personal narratives in different contexts. This type of interview, combined with several procedures in the investigation of everyday phenomena, is used in a multitude of situations, in addition to being an attempt to capture in the speech of the people the feelings expressed there. The work consists of bibliographic research about the characteristics of this technique, as well as some examples of its application in the scope of Information Science. Among the main results, he highlights that the narratives produced in terms of experiences and sharing are very rich and capable of bringing human beings closer together, so that together they can produce changes in various realities. He observes that the Narrative Interview presents itself with potential in the generation of information, being able to contribute to the studies in Information Science, especially in the case of the themes of memory, reading and mediation, which integrated the reported investigations.

The LGBT community - lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders - is vulnerable to achieve the fulfillment of their human rights including the access to public health. Assuming the imminent need for the formation of health workers in LGBT theme, as well as for the development of actions to respond to the specific demands of this population, it is our intention to contribute to the reflection on some of the factors that may interfere substantially in the LGBT process of health. We discuss some of the specific issues to each segment, highlighting the importance of attention of health professionals about the chain reactions that involve the process of vulnerability and that lead to illness in this population.

Salud y población LGBT: demandas y especificidades en cuestión

Frente as mudancas e permanencias nos costumes, normas e politicas sexuais no Brasil, o artigo analisa as experiencias de acesso de mulheres trans/travestis aos servicos de saude e discute a discriminacao sexual/de genero e as suas demandas aos servicos de transicao de genero e prevencao da aids. O estudo envolveu entrevistas com nove mulheres trans/travestis, de 23-45 anos, das camadas populares da Baixada Fluminense, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, realizadas em 2016, e observacoes de contextos de prostituicao e sociabilidade. Comparando com as agressoes vividas anos atras, as narrativas das mulheres trans/travestis destacam avancos sociais. Relatam que os profissionais nao as discriminam por sua condicao, embora haja resistencia ao uso do nome social. Esse constrangimento, somado aos problemas estruturais do Sistema Unico de Saude (SUS), sao minimizados devido a agencia das trans/travestis para obter atendimento, seja pelo recurso as redes de contatos, seja por sua consciencia de direitos de cidadania. As narrativas sobre a busca por mudancas corporais para a transicao de genero revelam uma conjugacao, por vezes tensa, entre as tecnologias oferecidas nos servicos de saude e aquelas manejadas pelas travestis. Embora as politicas de aids focalizem acoes para trans/travestis, a prevencao do HIV nao esta entre as suas principais demandas aos servicos. Ha obstaculos de ordem subjetiva para acessar os servicos, decorrentes do estigma internalizado e da associacao da infeccao pelo HIV com suas condicoes de vida. A melhoria da atencao em saude da populacao trans/travesti requer um debate sobre os problemas estruturais do SUS, a defesa da visao ampliada de cuidado do sistema e investimentos na capacitacao profissional.

Bioethical implications in health care for the LGBTT public The aim of this study was to analyze academic publications regarding actions of health care for lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transvestites and the trans gender (LGBTT), in a focus of principialist bioethics. The methodology employed was trial design, in which the data gathered were divided into two sets: academic productions, and documents standardizing LGBTT health policy in the Single Health System (SUS). The studies showed that beyond the the actions aimed at the health of LGBTT, there exist prejudice and discrimination, requiring a new examination of ethical and bioethical interaction between the professional and the user. Thus professional performance based on principialist bioethics may be considered a way of overcoming values judgments on the part of health professionals, helping better pursue the integral nature of care.

ResumenEste estudio tiene como objetivo analizar las publicaciones academicas relacionadas a las acciones de aten-cion de la salud de lesbianas, gays , bisexuales, travestis y transexuales (LGBTT) bajo el enfoque de la bioetica principialista. La metodologia utilizada fue el diseno de ensayo, en la cual los datos recolectados fueron divi-didos en dos conjuntos: producciones academicas y documentos que normativizan las politicas de salud de LGBTT en el Sistema Unico de Salud – SUS. Los estudios senalaron que ademas de acciones dedicadas a la salud de LGBTT, existe una presencia de prejuicios/discriminacion, requiriendo de una nueva mirada frente a la actuacion etica y bioetica entre el profesional y el usuario. Asi, la actuacion profesional basada en la bioetica principialista puede ser considerada como una forma de superacion de juicios de valor por parte de profesionales de la salud, contribuyendo con acciones que proporcionen una actuacion abocada al alcance de la integralidad de la asistencia.
