The mucosal barrier at implant abutments of different materials
TL;DR: It was demonstrated that the soft tissue dimensions at Ti- and ZrO(2) abutments remained stable between 2 and 5 months of healing, but at Au/Pt-alloy abutment sites, however, an apical shift of the barrier epithelium and the marginal bone occurred between2 and 5 years of healing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Morphogenesis of the peri‐implant mucosa: an experimental study in dogs
TL;DR: It is suggested that the soft-tissue attachment to implants placed using a non-submerged installation procedure is properly established after several weeks following surgery.
Journal ArticleDOI
Subcrestal placement of two-part implants.
TL;DR: It is suggested that osseointegration may occur coronal to the A/F interface of two-part implants and appears to depend on the surface characteristics of the implant components.
Journal ArticleDOI
Soft tissue healing at titanium implants coated with type I collagen. An experimental study in dogs
TL;DR: It is suggested that soft tissue healing to implants coated with type I collagen was similar to that at non-coated titanium implants and that no adverse reactions to the collagen- coated implants occurred.
