Abstract: The laser flash photolysis of PtCl 2− 6 methanol solutions in the presence of l -proline and l -tryptophan revealed the formation of transient trivalent platinum complexes with these bioorganic ligands. Kinetic and spectroscopic parameters of these complexes were determined and continuous wave photolysis was studied to determine the final products of the photochemical reactions.
