Amine organoborane complex polymerization initiators and polymerizable compositions

TL;DR: In this article, an amine-organoborane complex was proposed for polymerizable compositions, adhesive compositions and coatings compositions containing compounds having moieties which polymerise under free radical polymerization conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhancing polyurethane properties via soft segment crystallization

TL;DR: In this paper, semi-crystalline polyester diols with relatively high melting points and enthalpies of crystallization are shown to form nearly co-continuous lamellar structures in thermoplastic polyurethanes using polyether soft segments.

Amine organoborane complex initiated polymerizable compositions containing siloxane polymerizable components

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a polymerizable composition comprising an organoborane amine complex, an alkyl borane having ligands which are alkyls, cycloalkyl or both and an amino siloxane.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of adipate and succinate polyesters in thermoplastic polyurethanes

TL;DR: In this paper, succinic acid derived from sugar is reported to be an abundant and inexpensive feedstock for polymer synthesis in the near future, and thermoplastic polyurethanes are compared using differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic mechanical spectroscopy, tensile measurements, wide and small angle X-ray scattering, transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy and abrasion tests.
