Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of Light Activation, Agent Concentration, and Tooth Thickness on Dental Sensitivity After Bleaching
Gustavo Moncada,D Sepúlveda,K Elphick,Marta Maria Martins Giamatei Contente,Juan Estay,Valeria Bahamondes,Eduardo Fernández,OB Oliveira,Javier Martín +8 more
TL;DR: Increases in the concentration of bleaching agents directly affect tooth sensitivity, and LED/laser activation and tooth thickness are not correlated with tooth sensitivity after dental bleaching.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bond strength of a pit-and-fissure sealant associated to etch-and-rinse and self-etching adhesive systems to saliva-contaminated enamel: individual vs. simultaneous light curing
Jaciara Miranda Gomes-Silva,Carolina Paes Torres,Marta Maria Martins Giamatei Contente,Maria Angélica Hueb de Menezes Oliveira,Regina Guenka Palma-Dibb,Maria Cristina Borsatto +5 more
TL;DR: In conclusion, individual or simultaneous curing of the intermediate bonding agent layer and the resin sealant did not seem to affect bond strength to saliva-contaminated enamel.
Journal ArticleDOI
Temperature rise during Er:YAG cavity preparation of primary enamel
Marta Maria Martins Giamatei Contente,Fabrício Augusto de Lima,Rodrigo Galo,Jesus Djalma Pécora,Luciano Bachmann,Regina Guenka Palma-Dibb,Maria Cristina Borsatto +6 more
TL;DR: It is important to use a lower pulse frequency, such as 300 mJ and 6 Hz, during cavity preparation in pediatric patients, because the temperature elevation was directly related to the increase in the employed pulse repetition rates and there was no direct correlation between temperature rise and energy density.
Journal ArticleDOI
Shear strength of the bond to primary dentin: influence of Er:YAG laser irradiation distance
Camila Scatena,Carolina Paes Torres,Jaciara Miranda Gomes-Silva,Marta Maria Martins Giamatei Contente,Jesus Djalma Pécora,Regina Guenka Palma-Dibb,Maria Cristina Borsatto +6 more
TL;DR: In vitro the influence of Er:YAG laser irradiation distance on the shear strength of the bond between an adhesive restorative system and primary dentin was assessed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bonding agent underneath sealant: shear bond strength to oil-contaminated.
Maria Cristina Borsatto,Michelle Yamamoto Thomaz,Marta Maria Martins Giamatei Contente,Jaciara Miranda Gomes-Silva,Talitha de Siqueira Mellara,Rodrigo Galo,Regina Guenka Palma-Dibb +6 more
TL;DR: It may be concluded that the oil contamination affected negatively the sealant bonding to enamel and the acetone-based adhesive system (PB) layer applied underneath the sealants was able to prevent its deleterious effects to adhesion.
