Zusammenfassung: Muller, F., Biedermann, S., Baumann, M. & Haynold, B. 2016. Erganzungen zur Moosflora Sachsens. — Herzogia 29: 643–653. Dicranum flexicaule, Didymodon glaucus, Ephemerum rutheanum, Orthotrichum acuminatum, O. urnigerum, Oxystegus tenuirostris var. holtii, Syntrichia ruralis var. ruraliformis und Thamnobryum neckeroides werden erstmals aus Sachsen angegeben. Fur die aus Sachsen letztmals in den Jahren 1916 bzw. 1863 nachgewiesenen Arten Buxbaumia viridis und Cinclidotus fontinaloides konnten aktuelle Vorkommen ermittelt werden. Fur die Sippen Ephemerum rutheanum, Orthotrichum acuminatum, O. urnigerum und Oxystegus tenuirostris var. holtii werden wichtige diagnostische Merkmale abgebildet.

Effects of periodic liming on the bryophyte layer in Norway spruce (Picea abies) stands in the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains). – Herzogia 32: 269–287.Severe changes in forest soil conditions, tree health and growth as well as plant species composition have been observed as a consequence of atmospheric acid deposition. The most important measure to counteract soil acidification is forest liming. The long-term effects of repeated liming on the bryophyte layer of forests, however, have rarely been analysed. We used a stratified design to sample the bryophyte layer of spruce stands located in the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains, eastern Germany). Study sites were unlimed or limed at different intensities between one and five times since 1988. We found a significant effect of liming intensity on the composition and diversity of the bryophyte layer. The liming gradient is reflected by numerous indicator species, by indicator values for pH and nitrogen, and the by alpha and beta diversity of the species present. Liming strongly reduces the cover of many acidophytes typical for the habitat. By contrast, indicator species of disturbance and some rare, nutrient-demanding species appear to benefit from liming. These effects increase with liming intensity. Our results suggest that larger liming exclusion zones should be created to protect the typical bryophyte species composition.

BAUMANN, M. 2012. Distribution and phytosociology of Anastrepta orcadensis in the Ore Mountains (Saxony). - Herzogia 25: 245 –270. The historical and current distribution of Anastrepta orcadensis in the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge, Saxony) is presented. The association of the species is demonstrated and discussed by 31 phytosociological releves. The species grows in humid sites on humus and peat-soil in Norway spruce forests, which belongs to the phytosociological units Betulo carpaticae-Piceetum, Calamagrostio villosae-Piceetum and Bazzanio-Piceetum. In the Ore Mountains the species is endangered by changes of climate and habitat conditions.

Bemerkenswerte Moosfunde aus Sachsen und Sachsen-Anhalt und Neunachweis von Bryum blindii fur Deutschland. – Herzogia 32: 239 –251.Bryum blindii wird erstmals mit Sicherheit fur Deutschland von zwei Fundorten im Erzgebirge gemeldet. Anthoceros neesii, Bryum demaretianum, Cephaloziella spinigera, Dicranella grevilleana, Lescuraea plicata, Marchantia polymorpha subsp. montivagans, Pohlia nutans subsp. schimperi, Radula lindenbergiana, Schistidium spinosum, Syntrichia laevipila und Zygodon viridissimus werden erstmals aus Sachsen angegeben. Fur die aus Sachsen letztmals im Jahr 1924 nachgewiesene Art Metzgeria consanguinea konnte ein aktuelles Vorkommen ermittelt werden. Neue Fundorte werden fur die in Deutschland seltenen Arten Didymodon umbrosus und Pohlia tundrae mitgeteilt. Die Durchsicht von Herbarbelegen von Material, das fruher Tortella bambergeri zugeordnet wurde, ergab, dass in Sachsen sowohl T. fasciculata als auch T. pseudofragilis vorkommen. Beide Arten konnten daruber hinaus auch in Sachsen-Anhalt festgestellt werden.

Encalypta microstoma was rediscovered in Poland. Grimmia reflexidens and Lescuraea patens are new for the Polish part of the Giant Mountains. Anomobryum concinnatum and Lescuraea saxicola were rediscovered for the whole Giant Mountains, and Amphidium lapponicum, Bryum muehlenbeckii, Lescuraea mutabilis, Saelania glaucescens and Schistidium flexipile were rediscovered for the Polish part of the Giant Mountains.

BAUMANN, M. 2011. On the occurrence oi Tayloria tenuis in the Ore Mountains (Saxony). — Herzogia 24: 103–119. Tayloria tenuis was detected in the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge) only recently. Since then, the known localities are growing and the moss is obviously spreading. In this work, the current distribution of Tayloria tenuis in the Ore Mountains is demonstrated, the ecology of the species is characterized, reasons for the increase were discussed, and the threat of the species is analyzed. Based on the phytosociological releves the Taylorietum tenuis can be verified for the Ore Mountains.
