Journal ArticleDOI
Quantitative surface chemical analysis of AuCu alloys with aes
Kazuhiro Yoshihara,Ryuichi Shimizu,Teiichi Homma,Heizo Tokutaka,K. Goto,Masao Uemura,Daisuke Fujita,A. Kurokawa,Shingo Ichimura,Chuhei Oshima,Masayasu Kurahashi,M. Kudo,Yoshihiro Hashiguchi,Y. Fukuda,T. Suzuki,T. Ohmura,F. Soeda,Kozo Tanaka,Akihiro Tanaka,Tetsu Sekine,Yoshiro Shiokawa,T. Hayashi +21 more
TL;DR: In this article, the reliability of quantification by three methods, namely the relative sensitivity factors, the pure metals as standard materials, and the alloy as standard material, was compared, and it was concluded that measurement conditions such as photoelectron emission angle and energy resolution did not affect quantification and that there was no effect of the different background subtraction methods on quantification.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of correction accuracy of several schemes for AES matrix effect corrections
Shigeo Tanuma,Tetsu Sekine,Kazuhiro Yoshihara,Ryuichi Shimizu,Teiichi Homma,Heizo Tokutaka,K. Goto,Masao Uemura,Daisuke Fujita,A. Kurokawa,Shingo Ichimura,Chuhei Oshima,Masayasu Kurahashi,M. Kudo,Yoshihiro Hashiguchi,T. Suzuki,T. Ohmura,F. Soeda,Kozo Tanaka,Akihiro Tanaka,Yoshiro Shiokawa,T. Hayashi +21 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the correction accuracy of the proposed matrix effect correction schemes based on measured intensity data for AuCu alloys of different compositions, and the root mean square (RMS) of the calculated errors showed several per cent for the best case and 20-30% for the worst case.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Segregation Behavior of Sulfur, Oxygen and Phosphorus at the (100) Surface of Iron Single Crystal
Journal ArticleDOI
The reliability of quantitative analysis with AES
Kazuhiro Yoshihara,Ryuichi Shimizu,Teiichi Homma,Heizo Tokutaka,K. Goto,Daisuke Fujita,A. Kurokawa,Shingo Ichimura,Masayasu Kurahashi,M. Kudo,Yoshihiro Hashiguchi,T. Suzuki,T. Ohmura,F. Soeda,Kozo Tanaka,Akihiro Tanaka,Tetsu Sekine,Yoshiro Shiokawa,T. Hayashi +18 more
TL;DR: The surface concentrations of these alloys were calculated from the Auger peak amplitudes in two ways as mentioned in this paper, one method used the published relative sensitivity factors, and the other used pure Au and Pure Cu as the standard materials.
