The light emitting layer includes a compound containing a condensed ring and a luminescent metal complex capable of emitting light having a red-based color. It is preferable that the compound containing a condensed ring includes a host material, while the luminescent metal complex capable of emitting light having a red-based color includes a phosphorescent dopant.

An ultrasonic system useful for providing imaging, therapy and temperature monitoring generally comprises an acoustic transducer assembly configured to enable the ultrasound system to perform the imaging, therapy and temperature monitoring functions. The acoustic transducer assembly comprises a single transducer that is operatively connected to an imaging subsystem, a therapy subsystem and a temperature monitoring subsystem. The ultrasound system may also include a display for imaging and temperature monitoring functions. An exemplary single transducer is configured such that when connected to the subsystems, the imaging subsystem can generate an image of a treatment region on the display, the therapy subsystem can generate high power acoustic energy to heat the treatment region, and the temperature monitoring subsystem can map and monitor the temperature of the treatment region and display the temperature on the display, all through the use of the single transducer. PURPOSE:To obtain the title screen imparting an image enhanced in sharpness by constituting the screen of a support and the phosphor-containing resin layer wherein the compositional ratio of a binder and a phosphor is within a specific range provided on the support and specifying the void volume of the resin layer. CONSTITUTION:A radiation sensitizing screen is constituted of a support and the phosphor-containing resin layer wherein the compositional ratio of a binder and a phosphor is (1:1)-(1:25) (wt. ratio, 1:25 is not included provided on the support. The void volume of the phosphor-containing resin layer has a value 85% or less the void volume of a phosphor-containing resin layer having a compositional ratio formed by a usual coating method under atmospheric pressure. By this method, the density of the phosphor in the phosphor layer is enhanced and, as a result, the thickness of the phosphor layer is made thin to make it possible to enhance the sharpness of an image.

PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for readout operation by detecting a readout start position from a marker where information indicating the readout start position is entered before starting reading a radiation image out of an optical memory type fluorescent material sheet given the marker. CONSTITUTION:The optical memory type fluorescent material sheet 10 consists of a base 11, a fluorescent material layer 12 which contains a stimulable phosphor material and a binder, and a protection film 13, and is provided with the marker 14 where the information indicating the readout start position is entered at the front end of the surface of the protection film 13 in a conveyance direction. Further, a spacer 15 for protection is provided at the periphery of the fluorescent material layer 12 when necessary. When the fluorescent material sheet 31 advances as shown by an arrow B and laser light 35 which makes a scan to a small amplitude reaches the final end of the marker 34, a photosensor detects the readout start position and send its signal to a laser light scan control system. The amplitude of the laser light 35 is expanded and the fluorescent material sheet 31 is scanned to the overall width to start reading the radiation image recorded on the sheet 31.
