PURPOSE:To prevent deposition of alkali ion and corrosion of a magnetic film by providing a coating layer consisting of a resin material for continuously coating the magnetic recording layer and exposed glass part in the circumferential edge part of a medium. CONSTITUTION:The exposed glass part 6 of a width C exists in the radial direction from an inner circumferential side face 4 and the coating layer 3 of a width A is likewise provided, where A>C. The coating layer 3 of a width B is likewise provided on the exposed glass part 6 of a width D, where B>D. The coating layer 3 is provided on the inner and outer circumferential edge parts respectively including the inner circumferential side face 4 and outer circumferential side face 5 of a glass substrate 1 in order to continuously coat the magnetic film 2 and the exposed glass part 6. Namely, the contact of the moisture in the air and the alkali component in the glass is shut off and the deposition of the alkali ion on the glass surface by reaction of both is prevented by providing the coating layer 3 to the circumferential edge part of the magnetic layer and the exposed glass part 6. The corrosion of the magnetic film 2 based on the alkali ion near the boundary of the exposed glass part 6 and the magnetic film 2 is thereby prevented.

PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic disk having high resolving power and satisfactory overwriting characteristics by forming magnetic layers whose coercive force is increased toward the center of a disk. CONSTITUTION:An Al disk as a disk substrate is degreased, pickled, zincated, and plated with an Ni-P alloy to 20mum thickness, and it is lapped and immersed in a plating bath. The plating bath is prepd. by adjusting an aqueous soln. contg. CoSO4, NiSO4, sodium hypophosphite, sodium malate, sodium tartrate, (NH4)2SO4 and boric acid to 9.0pH with an NaOH soln. The substrate is rotated at 150r.p.m. in the plating bath at 70 deg.C with a plating jig having 5-200r.p.m. variable speed, and the substrate is plated to obtain a magnetic disk having magnetic films each having 580Angstrom thickness and 750Oe coercive force at the inner part and 750Angstrom thickness and 650Oe coercive force at the outer part by making use of a change in plating speed due to the difference in relative speed between the plating soln. and the substrate to be plated. The change in plating speed is characteristic of electroless magnetic plating. The resulting magnetic disk has high resolving power, satisfactory overwriting characteristics and uniform output characteristics at the inner and outer parts.

PURPOSE:To uniformly form the phthalocyanine layer of the solar battery on a large area substrate by immersing an electrode film and an electrode for energization into a soln. prepd. by solubilizing phthalocyanine into an aq. micell soln. of a surfactant and energizing the film and the electrode. CONSTITUTION:Lithium bromide, etc., are added as a supporting electrolyte to the aq. soln. of the surfactant and further the phthalocyanine or metal phthalocyanine as a film forming material is added thereto. A colloidal soln. in which the fine particles of the phthalocyanine are enclosed by the surfactant is prepd. by an ultrasonic treatment, etc. A glass substrate with indium oxide.tin, etc., and platinum plate, etc., are immersed into this soln. Further, a satd. calomel electrode, etc., are immersed as a reference electrode into the soln. and an electrolysis is effected to form the phthalocyanine or the metal phthalocyanine layer. The electrode film of a thin film of Al, etc., is formed on this layer, by which the solar battery is produced.

PURPOSE:To produce the metal phthalocyanine complex layer consisting of an electrochromic material with excellent productivity on an electrode film by immersing the electrode film and electrode for energization into a soln. prepd. by dissolving metal phthalocyanine into an aq. miscell soln. of a surfactant and energizing the electrode film and the electrode for energization. CONSTITUTION:Lithium bromide is added as a supporting electrolyte into the aq. soln. of the surfactant electrified to plus by an electrolytic oxidation; further, erbium phthalocyanine is added as a film forming material to the soln. and the soln. is ultrasonically treated by an ultrasonic homogenizer to produce the colloidal soln. in which the fine particles of the erbium phthalocyanine are enclosed by the surfactant. Indium oxide, tinned glass substrate and Pt plate are immersed into this soln. and further, a satd. calomel electrode is immersed therein and an electrolytic treatment is executed to form the erbium phthalocyanine layer. A solid electrolyte is provided on the phthalocyanine layer side of the substrate obtd. in such a manner and further, another sheet of the substrate with the phthalocyanine layer positioned on the inner side is stuck thereto, by which the electrochromic display element is produced.
