As the technology is growing day by day the world is adapting robotic for their comfort in daily life. So we have developed a GUI based, trainable robotic arm which is being automated for multipurpose industrial applications. The special feature which we are highlighting in our work is that, the arm is easily manipulated and has all in one solution for the certain range of pick and place application. The basic aim is to achieve the ability of commanding and controlling the arm through MATLAB Graphical User Interface (GUI) and to make the system more efficient. The designed system has been divided into 2 parts: (1) The AVR microcontroller has been programmed for the central controlling station which has GUI access and the arm control, and (2) to program the GUI for making the robot trainable and user-friendly. As it is a time-saving controlling method, we can use it for picking and placing the material over the conveyor assembly.

GUI Based Pick and Place Robotic Arm for Multipurpose Industrial Applications

The design and implementation of a gesture control robotic arm using flex sensor is proposed. The robotic arm is designed in such a way that it consists of four movable fingers, each with three linkages, an opposing thumb, a rotating wrist and an elbow. The robotic arm is made to imitate the human hand movements using a hand glove. The hand glove consists 5 flex sensor for controlling the finger movements and an Accelerometer for the wrist and elbow movements. The actuators used for the robotic arm are servo motors. The finger movements are controlled using cables that act like the tendons of human arm. The robotic arm is controlled from a distant location using a wireless module. A prototype of the robotic arm was constructed and tested for various hand movements.

Recently, wireless communication is growing rapidly because it is highly efficient use, one of them (wireless technology) that frequently use is the device that can be integrated with another device. The communication between the robot is the information delivery processto do an order. The communication between the robot is an important component on robot interaction and it biosphere. In robot system, the hand gesture robot deliver the order to the robot to move by following the order that has been determined by it master. So the communication between the robot through the wireless technology is happening. The form this communication is an order to the robot to follow the hand gesture. The benefit of this robot communication is the efficiency to finish the task. This robot is using Arduino application program, so that it will easier for the making of hand gesture robot software based on wireless technology.

The aim of this paper is to present a system powered by a Raspberry PI and an industrial robotic arm, which can execute numerous task in a factory. The used robotic arm and imaging devices are industrial type, but the control system it's a simple development microprocessor board. The robotic arm it's the SCORBOT-ER III and the imagining devices are IP cameras. The goal it's to demonstrate that even complex industrial systems can be run with modest and small card-size pocket computing devices. Final scope is to prove, that with only one microchip, smart autonomous robotic systems, can be created.

This paper presents the design of a controller intended for teleoperation. It is capable of controlling an anthropomorphic robotic arm through a LAN or via the Internet. The system uses several interdependent processing modules to provide numerous functionalities, and makes use of the already widespread Wi-Fi technology as its wireless communications medium. The user can control the robotic arm remotely and access its sensory feedback signals as well. The camera mounted on the robot arm takes images and transmits to the control station. The system has been designed with project portability in mind, and consequently will require minimal modification for other applications. The robot arm is controlled using a master-slave control methodology.
