Techniques are disclosed for lawfully intercepting information in communication environments with end-to-end encryption. For example, a method for intercepting encrypted communications exchanged between a first computing device and a second computing device in a communication network, wherein the interception is performed by a third computing device in the communication network, comprises the following steps. The third computing device obtains one or more packets having a packet address associated with one of the first computing device and the second computing device. The one or more packets are obtained by the third computing device, in response to at least one interception routing policy being implemented in at least one element in the communication network, such that the one or more obtained packets may be decrypted so as to obtain data contained therein. The third computing device preserves the packet address of the one or more obtained packets. The third computing device forwards the one or more packets toward a packet- destination one of the first computing device and the second computing device such that the packet-destination one of the first computing device and the second computing device is unable to detect from the one or more packets that the one or more packets were intercepted by the third computing device.

A service provider computing environment includes a service provider computing device, which receives tenant secrets policies from tenants. The tenants are tenants of multi-tenant assets of a service provider. One or more data security zones in which the multi-tenant assets are located are identified. A service provider secrets policy includes data security jurisdiction zone secrets policy data for the one or more data security jurisdiction zones. The data security jurisdiction zone secrets policy data is analyzed to determine allowed secrets data with respect to each of the identified data security jurisdiction zones. The service provider computing environment determines of the tenant secrets policies satisfy the requirements of the service provider secrets policy. If the tenant secrets policies satisfy the requirements of the service provider secrets policy, the service provider computing environment allows the tenant secrets policies to be applied to tenant data or information in the multi-tenant assets.

Method and apparatus for multi-tenancy secrets management in multiple data security jurisdiction zones

Aspects of a method and system for traffic engineering in an IPSec secured network are provided. In this regard, a node in a network may be authenticated as a trusted third party and that trusted third party may be enabled to acquire security information shared between or among a plurality of network entities. In this manner, the trusted third party may parse, access and operate on IPSec encrypted traffic communicated between or among the plurality of network entities. Shared security information may comprise one or more session keys utilized for encrypting and/or decrypting the IPSec secured traffic. The node may parse IPSec traffic and identify a flow associated with the IPsec traffic. In this manner, the node may generate and/or communicate statistics pertaining to said IPSec secured traffic based on the flow with which the traffic is associated.

Communications and data security policy data for two or more communications jurisdiction zones is obtained that includes data indicating allowed protocols for the respective communications jurisdiction zones. Method and system for automatically managing secure communications in multiple communications jurisdiction zones

A network node for communicating data packets secured with a security protocol over a communications network includes a host information handling system (IHS) and one or more external security offload devices coupled by a secure data link. The host IHS communicates state information about data packets, and the external offload security device provides stateless secure data encapsulation and decapsulation of packets using a security protocol. An external network interface controller or internal network interface controller communicates encapsulated data packets over the communications network to a final destination. Encapsulation and decapsulation of packets by the external security offload device reduces network latency and reduces the computational load on the processor in the host IHS. Maintaining state information in the host IHS allows hot-swapping of external security offload devices without information loss. The external security offload device may be included in a firewall, or intrusion detection device, and may implement IPsec protocol.
