The invention relates to a method for producing a component of a turbomachine, especially a hollow structural part of a turbine or a compressor. The method is characterized by the following steps: a) layer-by-layer deposition of at least one powder component material (16) onto a component platform in the region of a buildup and joining zone (14), the deposition taking place in accordance with the layer information of the component (10) to be produced; b) local layer-by-layer fusion or sintering of the component material (16) by means of energy supplied in the region of the buildup and joining zone (14), the buildup and joining zone (14) being heated to a temperature just below the melting point of the component material (16); c) layer-by-layer lowering of the component platform by a predefined layer thickness; and d) repetition of steps a) to c) until the component (10) is finished. The invention further relates to a device (30) for producing a component (10) of a turbomachine, especially a hollow structural part of a turbine or a compressor.

There are a multiplicity of methods of making through-holes. In particular in the production of a multiplicity of film-cooling holes, as in gas turbine blades or combustion chamber elements, small time advantages are also important when making a hole. The method according to the invention, to make the hole close to the final contour in each case in sections in a top and a bottom region in order to then produce the final contour with other laser parameters, achieves time advantages.

A welding method for welding workpieces made of highly heat-resistant superalloys is provided. The method includes generating a heat input zone on the workpiece surface by means of a heat source, feeding welding filler material into the heat input zone by means of a feeding device, and generating a relative motion between the heat source and the feeding device on one hand and the workpiece surface on the other hand by means of a conveying device. Furthermore, according to the welding method, the mass feed rate is ≦350 mg/min.

Methods according to prior art for producing three-dimensional moulded bodies generally require outer moulds which define the geometry of a component to be produced. The inventive method for producing three-dimensional moulded bodies renders one such mould redundant. The geometry of the component to be produced is defined by pre-determined laser guidance or by the geometry of the partial quantities (7, 10, 52) used.

A process is provided for crack-free welding a nickel based single crystal superalloy article containing at least 5 weight % total of Al and Ti The process comprises: melting an article surface to be welded and a filler alloy with an energy source, preferably a laser, wherein the filler alloy is a composition of a nickel based single crystal superalloy except that the total of Al and Ti is reduced below 5 wt %; allowing the melted article surface and filler alloy to solidify to form a bead of deposit; providing a plurality of beads of adjacent deposits covering the article surface to be welded; and remelting the adjacent beads of deposits with the energy source to provide vertically oriented crystal growth in the deposits

Producing single crystal structures, parts or workpieces of superalloys on substrates with one or more single crystal structures comprises: (a) melting the substrate surface with an energy beam; (b) supplying the molten region with material which is to be introduced into the single crystal structure; (c) completely melting the supplied material; and (d) regulating and/or controlling the energy supply such that the solidification velocity and temperature gradient lie in the dendritic crystalline region outside the globulitic region in the GV (gradient velocity) diagram. The supplied material may be the same as the substrate material or may be a different material having a similar crystal structure, preferably a Co, Fe or Ni base superalloy such as CMSX-4.

aufgeschmolzen. Die Energiezufuhr mit dem Energiestrahl
wird so geregelt und/oder gesteuert, dass
Erstarrungsgeschwindigkeit und Temperaturgradient im GV-Diagramm
im dendritisch kristallinen Bereich, ausserhalb
des globulitischen Bereichs liegen.
