GenX: an extensible X-ray reflectivity refinement program utilizing differential evolution

TL;DR: GenX is a versatile program using the differential evolution algorithm for fitting X-ray and neutron reflectivity data, utilizes the Parratt recursion formula for simulating specular reflectivity, and can fit an arbitrary number of data sets simultaneously.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modern treatment of acute mesenteric ischaemia.

TL;DR: Diagnosis of acute mesenteric ischaemia in the early stages is now possible with modern computed tomography (CT), using intravenous contrast enhancement and imaging in the arterial and or portal venous phase.
Journal ArticleDOI

Perpendicular magnetocrystalline anisotropy in tetragonally distorted Fe-Co alloys

TL;DR: The experimental realization of tetragonal Fe-Co alloys as a constituent of Fe0.36Co0.64/Pt superlattices with huge perpendicular magnetocrystalline anisotropy energy and a saturation magnetization at 40 K suggests that Fe- Co alloys with carefully chosen combinations of composition and distortion are good candidates for high-density perpendicular storage materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Endovascular Versus Open Repair as Primary Strategy for Ruptured Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm: A National Population-based Study

TL;DR: There was no difference in mortality after rAAA repair among centers with a primary EVAR approach when compared with aPrimary open repair strategy, either peri-operatively or in the midterm, and the study supports the early findings of the randomized controlled trials in a national population based setting.
