Journal ArticleDOI

Calixarenes: Generalities and Their Role in Improving the Solubility, Biocompatibility, Stability, Bioavailability, Detection, and Transport of Biomolecules.

TL;DR: The role of the calix[n]arenes in the detection of dopamine, the design of vesicles and liposomes employed in the manufacture of systems of controlled release drugs used in the treatment of cancer, and their role in improving the solubility of testosterone and anthelmintic drugs are described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthetic Peptide Purification via Solid-Phase Extraction with Gradient Elution: A Simple, Economical, Fast, and Efficient Methodology.

TL;DR: It was possible to purify peptides with different physicochemical properties, showing that this method is versatile and requires low solvent consumption, making it the least polluting one.
Journal ArticleDOI

Volumetric and acoustic properties of two sodium sulfonateresorcin[4]arenes in water and dimethylsulfoxide

TL;DR: In this article, the properties of two sodium sulfonateresorcin[4]arenes, Na 4 BRA and Na 4 SRA in aqueous and DMSO solutions, were determined from density and speed of sound measurements, over the temperature range (278.15 to 308.15) K, at 5 k intervals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental Comparative Study of Dynamic Behavior in Solution Phase of C-Tetra(phenyl)resorcin[4]arene and C-Tetra(phenyl)pyrogallol[4]arene.

TL;DR: The experimental evidence suggests that phenyl-substituted resorcinarene and pyrogallolarene exist as a dynamic boat in solution.
Journal ArticleDOI

Organocatalytic Cascade Reaction of Aliphatic Enals and Benzoylnitromethane: Synthesis of Enantioenriched Tetrasubstituted Cyclohexene Carbaldehyde

TL;DR: In this article, a new example of the reactivity of enals with benzoylnitromethane was studied in a Michael-Michael-Aldol-Dehydration quadruple organocascade reaction, which unexpectedly yielded a tetrasubstituted cyclohexene carbaldehyde with excellent enantiomeric excess when crotonaldehyde was used as the Michaelacceptor.
