Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices are nowadays massively integrated in daily life: homes, factories, or public places. This technology offers attractive services to improve the quality of life as well as new economic markets through the exploitation of the collected data. However, these connected objects have also become attractive targets for attackers because their current security design is often weak or flawed, as illustrated by several vulnerabilities such as Mirai, Blueborne, etc. This paper presents a novel approach for detecting intrusions in smart spaces such as smarthomes, or smartfactories, that is based on the monitoring and profiling of radio communications at the physical layer using machine learning techniques. The approach is designed to be independent of the large and heterogeneous set of wireless communication protocols typically implemented by connected objects such as WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Bluetooth-Low-Energy (BLE) or proprietary communication protocols. The main concepts of the proposed approach are presented together with an experimental case study illustrating its feasibility based on data collected during the deployment of the intrusion detection approach in a smart home under real-life conditions.

Design and verification of a mobile robot based on the integrated model of cyber-Physical systems

A wireless local area Network (WLAN) is being widely recognized as a viable cost effective general purpose solution in providing high speed real time access to information. With a WLAN, users can gain access to shared information without being bound to fixed plug-in-point. WLAN transmit and receive data over the air and thus collectively combine data connectivity with ease of mobility. WLAN provides wireless access to multi location enterprises, small and medium enterprises. It can replace wired LAN or simply be used as extension of wired infrastructure. Besides all these advantages WLAN are also facing major problems of security. So security is the aspect where most of the researchers are working. Following are the major objective of our study : i) To study the various Vulnerabilities and attacks on WLAN and their solutions. ii) To study the some of the exiting security methods used for securing WLAN and explore the possibility of improvements in the same. Our conclusion that WLAN security is not easy, and it is constantly changing. They expose the network to a new group of hackers. All businesses need to determine their security requirements based on the application using the WLAN. Goal so that a WLAN is as protected as Wired LAN.

-There has been a growing interest, over the past few years, in the Internet of Things (IoT), cutting across various industries, ranging from public transport to academia etc. This paper gives an overview of the current state of Bluetooth and Wlan(Wi-fi) technology. This study covers some facets aside from a brief introduction to the principles of the technology, major current and envisaged fields of application. It addresses an overview of the technologies in terms of services. The open communications environment makes wireless transmissions more vulnerable than wired communications to malicious attacks, including both the passive eavesdropping for data interception and the active jamming for disrupting legitimate transmissions. Therefore, this paper is motivated to examine the security vulnerabilities and undercurrents imposed by the inherent open nature of wireless communications.

Bluetooth Protocol in Internet of Things (IoT), Security Challenges and a Comparison with Wi-Fi Protocol: A Review

These days, the advancing of smart devices (e.g. smart phones, tablets, PC, etc.) capabilities and the increase of internet bandwidth enables IPTV service provider to extend their services to smart mobile devices. User can just receive their IPTV service using any smart devices by accessing the internet via wireless network from anywhere anytime in the world which is convenience for users. However, wireless network communication has well a known critical security threats and vulnerabilities to user smart devices and IPTV service such as user identity theft, reply attack, MIM attack, and so forth. A secure authentication for user devices and multimedia protection mechanism is necessary to protect both user devices and IPTV services. As result, we proposed framework of IPTV service based on secure authentication mechanism and light weight content encryption method for screen-migration in Cloud computing. We used cryptographic nonce combined with user ID and password to authenticate user device in any mobile terminal they passes by. In addition we used Light weight content encryption to protect and reduce the content decode overload at mobile terminals. Our proposed authentication mechanism reduces the computational processing by 30% comparing to other authentication mechanism and our light weight content encryption reduces encryption delay to 0.259 second.
